Goryo,
The situation on Kusari's borders remains stable, but the recent spike in profits for Silver risks to throw us back into a pre-833 AS state of affairs. I will be highly thankful for any operational advice you can provide for moving forward the make-up of our current units holding in the immediate vicinity to Kyushu is not sufficient for large scale escort operations. Should you be able, attempt to relocate additional KOI elements.

Lord Protector.
It is an utmost pleasure to hear from you.
The economic situation of the entire sector looks very grim lately. The gold crash has still not been addressed and industries across the sector also begin to report a decrease in silver stocks. Our Keiretsu contacts confirmed that both Samura and Kishiro have increased their import rates to attract sufficient deliveries to maintain normal industrial outputs.
The Kyushu Naval Garrison District is basically locked and incapable to act, as you noticed yourself. The New Tokyo Naval Garrison District has some spare capabilities, which I suggest to be mobilised immediately to secure corporate convoys hauling silver. I will urge the KOI to activate spare capabilities to oversee the Sigma Cluster - potentially in cooperation with the Gas Miners - and I urge you to push State Police assets to relocation from Shikoku to other sectors. We will authorize a temporary increase of Bounty Hunters numbers within Shikoku to compensate. The roaring demand will not go unnoticed and the stability of Keiretsu silver supplies must enjoy our utmost attention until the market stabilised itself sufficiently.

Goryo,
Your advice has been noted. I will contact the New Tokyo and Shikoku Military Districts and mobilize what unused units remain there. A follow-up press release should also help clarify where we stand.
If there is any matter I may be able to assist with in the Sigmas, reach out immediately.

Goryo,
Perhaps this little adventure of the Gaians in the Taus may yet prove that it is worthwhile to refocus our efforts, if only as far as diplomacy goes, there. I do not personally wish to collaborate with them, neither now nor in the future, but there remains the open rift between the Crayter Republic and the IMG so many years later. What is your opinion on us organizing a summit between these two in an attempt to facilitate better cooperation?
It goes without mention, too, that it would help us secure new allies in the Taus at a time when progress on Harris is moving at a snail's pace. The failure of the summit with Bretonia insofar as restarting talks calls for caution, however. Do not hesitate to patch in any of your governments associates into this channel should the need arise for other discussions.

Trust me when I say that I feel no desire to engage into cooperation with the Gaians myself. Whilst in limited capacities they might prove useful to KNI operations, our standing with Bretonia remains too crucial to risk it in any form for the time being.
Issues apparent such as Planet Harris, the lack of communication by our Bretonian partners and the ongoing stabilisation of the Cardamine flow render the Tau Sector crucial to the Empire's interests once more. We must do all we can to pull every significant group operating there on our side, one way or another. The Outcasts are not to be permitted proper recovery, nor can we allow other parties to rethink their stance on the Gallic Union.
Your proposal appears like an adequate initial step, one with the potential to overcome old strives with the Crayter Republic and further solidify our positive relation to the Independent Miner Guild. Do you wish to undertake this endeavor yourself or do you wish to wait for a Diet member to get involved?

Goryo,
I have served the Emperor proudly and for long enough to know well that the Diet members are not the kind to act with as much haste as I may. Rest assured that I will get to the bottom of this affair over the following days and weeks.

Goryo,
While I am proud to see Kusari so united, regardless of political colors, there will looms one issue, namely the Gas Miners Guild. I do not advise direct talks, but, if you may be able, attempt to reason with them onto closer ties until a meeting with Rheinland over Saigon's status may be concluded. That aside, I would also be thankful if you could spearhead a new operation to measure our strategic reserves due to the presence of Liberty Navy warships at the border with Independent Space.
It is foolish to believe that war will break out, but we may yet put substantial pressure economically should we have the Gas Miners on our side.
