Greetings to the Kusari Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
I am reaching out to you as the current Guildmaster of the Independent Miners Guild. Our guild has enjoyed a long-standing and cordial relationship with both the government and the people of Kusari, and we are especially grateful for Kishiro’s cooperation at Java Station.
We recently became aware of the declarations posted on theneuralnetwork, which we found to be a breach of diplomatic etiquette.
While we welcome the support against the Maltese menace, the unexpected declaration not only caught us by surprise but has also raised concerns among our members, particularly due to the manner in which it was published without prior knowledge of the Guild.
We would appreciate it if future broadcasts could be transmitted after consulting us on such topics, as it is rather upsetting to hear such news through public channels. The guild is more than willing to facilitate a formal channel between us.
With regards
Albert Schulze, Guildmaster

Esteemed Guildmaster Schulze.
You must apologize the lack of formality displayed by our esteemed Lord Protector. As man of the military, he prefers to charge into discourses directly and sometimes ruthlessly. However, these public displays of our intentions also serve a good purpose and I consider them anything but a true issue to the matters at hand.
The past four years merely added to the rich and complex political landscape of the sector and we are likewise glad to see our lasting business relations and mutual opposition to elements such as Bretonian or Gallic corporate encroachments within Tau-23 and a mutual death wish to the general Outcast menace remain intact throughout these troubling times. The latter received a hefty blow three years ago following convenient, although not arranged, efforts by the Naval Forces to disturb the Outcasts supply routes and the slaver revolt initiated by your Guildmembers and the Crayterian Republic around the same time.
However, the lack of other notable cooperation between Guild assets and the Crayterians diminished our hope to see your relationship return to previous levels. Are our datasets indicating a rather frosty but overall peaceful relationship between your Guild and the Crayterians still correct or will we have to amend these? If these frosty relations still persist, is there any willingness on sides of the Guild to amend this status quo?
With utmost respect,
Imperial Foreign Affairs Minister,
Toshinori Kojirou
Thank you for your prompt response. We appreciate the Lord Protector for his efficiency and directness. However, as you mentioned, he is a military man, and such matters are best handled by diplomats.
The situation in the Taus remains turbulent. We have observed multiple attempts by Gallic corporations to expand into Tau-23, with almost no effort from the Bretonian side, they did attempt to encroach in the Omegas, which yielded little success. Regarding the Outcasts, the Guild will continue its efforts to interdict all vessels transporting their condemnable drugs and halt all supplies heading towards Malta. Any assistance from Kusari has always been, and will continue to be, highly valued.
Moving on to our current cooperation with the Crayter Republic, it remains limited to mutual assistance against common enemies and occasional trading. To be frank, many Guild members are perplexed by the sudden shift in Kusari’s diplomatic stance towards the Crayter Republic, transitioning from open hostility to more cooperative relations. While stability in the Tau systems is always welcome, this change in diplomacy is viewed with some skepticism by the Guild.
With regards
Albert Schulze, Guildmaster

Esteemed Guildmaster Schulze.
We thank you for this brief overview regarding the Tau Sector as you perceive it. It would appear the damage done by the loss of Dublin has indeed shifted Bretonian corporate activity to the Omega sector and renewed efforts to maximize the MOX production in Leeds. It seems Dublin affairs locks them to mostly domestic issues and endeavors, hopefully avoiding the return of the same issues we had two decades ago.
As for the Crayter Republic, permit me to elevate some of this skepticism by clarifying a few matters. The Empire's history with Crayter is a most peculiar one, displaying continuous ups and downs in our relationships. Prior to the first Tau War, Crayter stood proudly alongside your Guild to deter the increasingly hostile encroachment of BMM on the Tau Sector, whereas during this conflict they proved to be faithful allies in arms against Outcasts and the Bretonians alike.
The sudden appearance of the Gallic menace quite literally broke everyone's spine. We remember the hardships your Guild underwent during this time just as much as we remember the blood spilled on our side. As for Crayter, they mourned their lost homes and fought vigilantly against the Gallic invaders as we all know. However, fueled by conspiracies about Gallic influence on the Kusari Republic and most honorable aid to the cut off Imperial forces - commonly remembered as the Exiles - biliteral relations deteriorated rapidly.
Admittedly, the reformed Empire of Kusari did little to repair these relations which was owed to a lengthy reconstruction phase and our brief diplomatic chaos with the house of Rheinland surrounding the Sigma Sector. In hindsight, a poor choice.
As you are well aware, the Empire moved against Gallia several years ago. Military analysts and politicians alike kept stressing about the necessity to break Gallia's spirit to avoid future conquests of the Tau Sector and potentially Bretonia and Kusari proper. I voiced a similar opinion myself, although I generally despise warfare.
These unstable relations with the Crayter Republic caused our military analysts to propose the forceful seizure of Barra Anchorage to utilize as forward resupply post for our Gallic campaign over negotiations. The swift momentum of our forces was key in this operation. Unsurprisingly, Crayter command was not amused but they settled on avoiding their blood to be spilled and retreated. Relations have been volatile ever since, although we do not recall any major incidents.
Post Gallic campaign, only a few joint endeavors against Outcasts and Gallic incursions alike took place so far. Initial steps to rebuild stability. The Empire aims to close a chapter of now more than two decades of wars and instability plaguing the Tau sector. We aim to reach cordial understandings with the Crayter Republic, intensify our latest chapter of friendship with the Kingdom of Bretonia and continue - potentially intensify - our long-standing positive business relations with your Guild.
The Tau Sector can only reach and maintain stability on the basis of clear boundaries, mutual understanding and additional joint cooperation against actual threats such as the Outcasts and Gallia. We hope for the Guild to not just understand but align with these views and thus find readiness to approach the Crayter Republic together. Recent Bretonian reluctance to discuss matters, forces us to consider that only an approach by your Guild, Crayter and ourselves can guarantee stability for the Tau Sector until the time they rediscovered their own tongues to talk and join any potential agreements in the near future.
With utmost respect,
Imperial Foreign Affairs Minister,
Toshinori Kojirou
