as promised - here is the skinned version of the fighter... i had it for some time ( since i placed it into the sig ) ... but this will give you a better idea of how it looks.
once again - i had to realize that bretonian skins are a pain. - this skin is not perfect... it doesn t always match in every place, but it was the best to come up with.
since the engine is located in the front of the ship - i split the rear downwards fin into a forked fin.
the ships size is medium sized - and i ll try to attach some hitbox to it that fits as good as possible.
it looks better in my sig, cause i have of course applied half a dozen macros to it:laugh:. - but it does look better than the presented collection of perpectives. - the red colour isn t striking that much... its more pale in the game. - i just increased the saturation of the red to make it stand out a bit more - so its easier to see the whole pattern.
however - i also just observed that i totally forgot to skin the wingtips..... ( grey smudge from above )
Is there also an engine in the back? Cause there are "air" intakes near the cockpit it would fit and it would also make the ship a bit more logical with 2 engines like that. Something like the Do-335.
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
there is no engine in the back - and since these are spaceships - i consider all the grills to be "heatsinks" rather than air intakes...
so - if i had to make something up ... i d just claim that these heatsinks are meant to cool down the reactor and the weapons coils ( whatever... truth is ... i put the grills there cause its a design decision without any further purpose in the technical sense )
haha - is that plane real?- that look rediculous - ... but yes... it has some resemblence to some ww2 planes - mostly due to the exposed cockpit in the middle of the ship ( instead of the front like modern days jets )
