Whilst stationed aboard the Vanguard, intelligence operations brought us to Bretonia's frontier in Leeds. With the dust cloud reducing our signature we evaded detection despite the Vanguard's massive size. Myself accompanied with a wingman launched from Hanger 57 to begin our reconnaissance. Scanners, targeting instruments, and communications suffered immediately upon our departure. The sun provided the only navigational buoy giving a some what sensible direction. Occasionally my wingmen and I found ourselves nearly crashing into one another. I suggested to take the lead allowing him to follow my thrust trail until we departed the dust cloud itself.
Bretonia's blockade on Leeds proved to be a very useful distraction. We proceeded locate our missing FLA(Frequency Listening Array) - X24 which appeared to have gone silent. Surprisingly our assumption that the Bretonians had located the array and reversed its primary function had failed to be proven. It appears the malfunction occurring is a result of debris knocking the array from its orbit. After returning undetected and without incident Marshal Rufus Vanguard ordered a withdrawal to a stationary position in Edinburgh.
While monitoring the developing situation in Leeds from our position in Edinburgh. The Vanguard received a distress from a fighter squadron out on patrol. I being the only alert fighter on station, was dispatched on hasty response. From a distance could the scuffle with the enemy be sighted, an obvious rendezvous location. Emblems on friendly ships concluded a Royal Police affiliation. Capital reinforcements arrived including one famous valor known as the Nemo whom sustained heavy damage by enemy ambush. Was forced to be relieved by a Sang Royal who supported our assault very well. The fighting was intense putting my Lynx to great strain during life saving maneuvers. Missiles proved effective however in Vanguard's absence Cannon Balls and Fire Stalkers ran dry quickly. As certain was my destruction with instruments failing and thrusters pushed beyond their limits. The Royal Police Gunboat Argent #8 provided me with much needed assistance allowing me to continue on until we were victorious. Immediately after breaking contact with the enemy I returned to the Vanguard stationed in Edinburgh for must needed repairs, and a rest in Medical. Not being present at its beginning makes an estimated hostile casualty lost difficult to calculate. One thing is for certain our Royal Police have earned my highest praise.
Monsieur it has been sometime since my deployment into the Leeds system .After assuming my first command aboard the Royal Navy Gunboat Cavier my duties require my attention to be placed else where. Therefore I have been ordered back into the Taus, Rumors have surfaced Interspace Commerce, the Liberty Corporation, has been smuggling resources into Bretonia. Still acting under Marshal Vanguard's I have begun to hunt down these transports including those affiliated with them. EFL Oil & Machinery appears to have taken owner ship over a structure in the area fortifying our position protecting us from various threats. These civilians have even taken it upon themselves to hold these hostile smugglers at bay. Their courage deserves recognition from the Crown as their task is not an easy one. While I now serve with these civilians to further cripple our enemies advance. I salute their courage.
I am now the voice of the His Majesty's intelligence service, and we are growing in strength. I've posted our majority force along the Tau frontier to strengthen security. While our brother royalists in the standard navy fail to perform their duties to the best of their ability. We are left to protect civilians traffic threatened by piracy and privateers. It has become apparent to me protecting our keep is not enough to gain command's attention. With the Vanguard now laid to its final resting place. We will act as a carrier for agents conducting operations nearby. I've yet to brief my command on our future assaults against House Liberty. Events lately have made things very uncertain.
