As Pita went to the kitchen, he called after her, "Take one of those pills I got you with your juice! It should help some."
They were just simple pills for upset stomachs, but he could at least try and treat the symptoms if he couldn't yet treat the problem itself. He sighed, thinking about how he'd need to take the girl to the doctor sooner rather than later.
He looks back to Lewis. "Shy kid, hmm? I imagine that after you told me... that might be the case. Time should fix that."
He nodded slowly. "Yes, and I can certainly understand her fragility at the moment, especially when it comes to trusting people. But yes, she needs to meet new people and understand that not everyone in the universe is a filthy Rogue who wants to manipulate her."
The silver four door sedan came through the gates and drove towards the house, the two girls in the back seat were looking around, both sitting quietly. Rika was deep in thought, which led to Seraphim going quiet. The girl was shy as possible when around strangers, but Alexis hoped she would slowly open up more.
The sedan slowed to a stop outside the house, with Alexis stepping out to smooth out a few creases in her jacket. It was a dark blood red windbraker with the emblem of a bleeding heart of the shoulder. She waited for the kids to open teir doors and get out; Alexis then took Seraphim's hand and led the two up the small path to the front door, where she rang the bell.
"It'll be fine Sera. I promise. Rika will be there with you the entire time." She said, smiling down at the girl. She was fifteen...but inwardly, she was even younger.
Rika sidled up behind Sera and hugged her for a sec before moving to her side, shoulders touching.
"Leme guess Mom...no techno babble?"
"Nope."
"Fixing the TV?"
"Sure."
With a grin, Rika fell silent.

Pita wandered back to the living room, seemingly cheerier then before with a glass of orange juice. She walked over to the seat by the fire again and sat down. Taking a sip of her drink, she looked out the window before looking back at Reginald.
She frowned slightly before asking "What is it you do in the navy?"
Pita smiled slightly at a thought she had before taking another sip of her drink, and moving closer to the warmth of the fire, waiting for an answer.
Jorzza steps out of the cab and leans on his crutches. He looks down at his leg. 'It hurt too much to walk on.' Jorzza paid the cab driver and started to limp towards the door of the Lambert residence. 'I hope they are doing okay, lord knows the guy has had a hard time'
Jorzza reached the door and knocked on it with his prosthetic arm. 'He should be home'
Lewis considered this question for a moment. It wasn't as innocuous as it seemed...there were a number of ways to answer this. Some pleasant, some not. Considering Pita's recent ordeals, Lewis decided to keep the situation light.
"When you've been around as long as I have...not an awful lot" he says, smiling.
"Well...me, James and many others took up arms in the navy to defend those who cannot defend themselves. Our loved ones...and the innocent, from those who would harm them."
Lewis knew that this was not entirely true, but the real details were not for her to hear.
"Well...me, James and many others took up arms in the navy to defend those who cannot defend themselves. Our loved ones...and the innocent, from those who would harm them."
She nodded, they were there to help people. "So... from people like Ruby?"
She took another sip of her juice and and smiled. She knew all the stories had been lies, the people in the navy weren't bad.
Pita jumped slightly and looked across at the door as there was a knock. She looked at Lambert wondering if he was expecting more people to arrive.
The doorbell rang, and Lambert rose from his position of quietly listening to Pita and Reginald to go answer it.
He was surprised to see Alexis and even more surprised to see the children with her. He'd mentioned to her on duty recently that she was welcome to come by with them, but he wasn't expecting to have them arrive while he already had another guest.
He ushered them inside and was about to make the round of introductions when there was another knock on the door. Frowning, he returned to the door, opening it to see Clark standing there on his crutches.
"Jorzza! I..." he hesitated, taking in the man's appearance. "Come in, come in! I was meaning to comm you sometime about... all this," he said as the man hobbled through the door. Lambert closed the door behind them and escorted the former commander into the kitchen, away from everyone else.
"Tell me what happened. I read the official report but... I want to hear it from you."
Jorzza hobbles through the door. "Look Lambert, you know what its like to be captured. Its gonna take time. How have you been going since you got taken, is it under control?"
Jorzza said subtly looking around the room checking for exits. "I mean you had a harder time. i was unconscious most of the time. Is she doing okay?"
Jorzza asked putting his weight on one of the crutches
Alexis smiled at James, and was about to say sorry if she dropped in at a bad time when he left. Standing there, holding Sera's hand still, she sighed quietly and glanced over to see Rika hugging her friend; Sera looked nervous, already trying to edge her way behind Alexis. She sighed quietly, letting go of Sera's hand and walked over to Reginald. Alexis held out her hand.
"Nice to see you again." She said politely.
Meanwhile, Rika took hold of Sera's hand and pulled her along gently, heading for Pita. Rika smiled, and allowed Sera to hide behind her - not that you could hide Seraphim's snow-white hair easily.
Rika waved. "Hi. I'm Rika." she said softly, staying a respectful two feet away.

"I was there helping when we rescued you. Arrived a bit late due to other distress calls, but I was there. So you could say that. We're all committed to saving people, each in our own way."
He looks up to see Clark hobble in. Lewis raises both eyebrows in surprise. He'd heard of Clark's...injuries, but it was the first time he was seeing him in person since then. As Lambert quickly takes him off though, he chooses to say nothing.
Clark is followed by Alexis and a couple of children he did not recognize. He waves at them in casual greeting, then shakes Alexis' hand.
"Good to see you too. "
He gestures at her to take a seat.
"Nice of you to bring the children along...I'm guessing Pita could use some company."
He rotates the glass in his hands a little.
"A damn shame about what happened to Clark..." He says, with genuine feeling. While Lewis had not known the man very well, seeing a fellow officer suffer like this was...unsettling, to say the least.
