Disco economics at it's finest.
Decisions that they may not recover from, oh yes. Thats the Disco I have seen things come to, to know and love.
Afaik that's one of the reasons for the loss of Dresden to Hessian hands and increasing Corsair and Hessian activity in the Omegas/Stuttgart.
Anther station right next to a stationary BS will grant nothing ooRPly to the players, and inRP just anther station to pour money into maintenance. (Not to mention kicking IC out of Rheinland which is a silly decision as it is)

Dresden was already mined out and useless, so its loss really has nothing to do with the IC thing. If anything, the Hessians invading benefit Rheinland's corporations, seeing as it allows them to shut down an unprofitable operation without having to conform to employment and union laws.
Rheinland has a small loss of face, but otherwise loses nothing tangible. The Hessians score a little bit of propaganda material, but don't really gain any resources from the move and haven't won any military victories seeing as the system was abandoned.
Hessian activity will probably remain the same in the Omegas (they're not able to successfully expand on so many fronts at once), while Rheinland actually benefits by Corsair strikes against their rivals.
