Redundancy/Overlapping

This page heavily overlaps and intersects with Geography. Wouldn't it be a better idea to merge this page into Geography? This would also make it easier to make a clear distinction between Sirius and Gallia, as pointed out by Sovereign before. Senshi 01:00, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Location of Gallia

Gallia is stated by Igiss to be as far from Sirius as Sirius is from Sol. That's a fairly nontrivial distance, even supposing that Tenacity's estimate putting them in different galactic arms is too high by 5 orders of magnitude. We have two choices here:

  • Split off the "universal" information here into it's own article, though I can't think of a better name than "The Discovery Universe" (Discoverse for short), and purge this article of anything implying Gallia is a part of Sirius (because it isn't).
  • Reword this article to make it clear Gallia is very far from everyone else and use this article to contain both Sirius and Gallia.

Personally, the only reason I haven't just done the former of these options is that I can't think of a better name, but as this is a major classification issue I thought it best to bring it up on a discussion page. -Sovereign 12:03, 4 August 2010 (MDT)

Should Stay for future developments

The Sirius Sector page should remain for various reasons. First of all, it shows how the player can get to system to system without saying outright. Second, map name is not important. Can't come up with a name for it, don't. Better off if it remains as "The Discovery Universe". Otherwise, people will call it a Nav Map. It doesn't need to be deleted, just refurbished. Third, deleting a page that will be placed back up again on the Wiki, reguardless. Leave it up and redo some parts of the page.-Regious Tuk'Cone 4:44PM, 2/29/2012 (EST U.S.A)

I agree. This is still a good page. Leave it up but combine it with Geography to keep it updated.--Vert627 03:41, 1 March 2012 (CET)
