Nomad Discussion - stewcool - 09-11-2008 By what time(mod wise) do you think the nomads will vanish completely from the Order and its allies constantly killing them. Now I know they wont vanish completely but when estimaticly speaking do you think the nomads will no longer be seen in Alaska or some other nomad infested place. To the point where you may see one or two patrols if that a day. Nomad Discussion - globalplayer-svk - 09-11-2008 hmmm, good question, but you are sure that it will be not different? that nomad will be everywhere? Nomad Discussion - Culebra - 09-11-2008 I don't think the governments of Sirius are united enough to wipe out the Nomads. That's what I'd do. Nomad Discussion - Kuraine - 09-11-2008 Things are on the move, regarding the Nomads. That's all I will say. Nomad Discussion - sovereign - 09-11-2008 @Culebra and prevailing opinion that the Nomads outnumber humanity If they got their act together, yah, humans would win. RM + LN kicked the crap out of the entire Wild fleet + Nomad reinforcements at the battle of Omicron Lost, and they most certainly didn't send their whole fleets- that'd be stupid, the Red Hessians/Outcasts would probably conquer Rheinland/Liberty in their entireties by the time the fleets got back from their wild (haha) goose chase. There's a reason the Nomads pitted humans against each other first. Because if they just tried to sweep, they'd get owned, or at least take a LOT of casualties. Why waste when your enemies can take the hit for you? @thread in general NPC farming is bull. NPCs in general are bull. Rheinland has either 12 or 14 BBs, I can never remember. Within a day, thousands spawn and exhaust the random name generator. There is no way in hell that Rheinland could build that many of them. There isn't enough metal to do so- over a week, the volume of the NPC ships easily outpaces the volume of all minable objects, asteroid fields, and planets. When you blow up an NPC heavy cap, you aren't blowing up a "real" heavy cap. A determined fighter can't fill its hold with more Admirals than there are Captains in the military. Its silly. The Nomads have lost the Harbinger... once? And remember, Nomad ships can regrow. The Harbinger did. What do you think the Ravine is for? It harvests the energy of the stars it's between to repair/build Nomad ships. Sunlight is a bit easier to come by than ship components. So, if you want to take it from a power-playing angle, all the ships you destroy re-grow within a week. The brains you harvest are irrelevant, the mind is held in Mindshare and can be transferred to a new body. Happens all the time. Nomads aren't going poof unless the LN and RM put their differences aside again to tromp into Iota and go TANKITY TANK. Realistically, Nomads have a lot of ships, probably a little more than any single military, but they are short of heavy capital ships, relying more on surgical strikes than brute force- since in brute force they lose, hands down. Two full militaries or three-five large expeditionary forces (we're talking in the tens of thousands of fighters and hundreds of light caps, dozens of heavies range here) could shred their fleet and lay waste to Xerna. With heavy casualties to be sure, more if they fought within range of Xerna's planetary defenses, but that they could still do it is no question. Nomad Discussion - Elvin - 09-11-2008 Dont you think that Nomads who are spreading is better idea that Nomads who died out?:P Nomad Discussion - dr lameos - 09-11-2008 They wouldn't die out, sooner or later the Daam K'vosh will come wipe out humans for them. Nomad Discussion - stewcool - 09-11-2008 Okay lets just assume then that we were (order and allies + house factions) to make a joint attack on the nomads to finally rid us of the jelly problem. When would you think they would be almost all gone. And it eventually gets down to only keepers and the wilde(who are already lower then nomads) Nomad Discussion - Elvin - 09-11-2008 ' Wrote:Okay lets just assume then that we were (order and allies + house factions) to make a joint attack on the nomads to finally rid us of the jelly problem.
