Planned Server mainteinance - Dec 31st - Aingar - 12-30-2025

Tomorrow at 11am UTC we will be taking the server down for some account database maintenance. This will hopefully make major patching quicker in future. We will be running a new version of DSAM, our account database management system, the first in probably 8+ years, which will be more efficiently handling map/rep data for characters. It will also re-introduce a sort of inactivity wipe, through deleting characters meeting all of the following criteria:
- less than 10 minutes online
- less than 1000 credits
- older than 7 days

It will also run a global Light Fix on all ships.

Out of curiosity, does this include net worth of the ships too, or just the banks? Am I going to lose a bustard (in theory) I bought, setup quickly and had no cash on because it has 9 minutes and 59 seconds on it's character time and was made more than a week ago?

You would lose that ship, yes. You'd also be eligible for a restoration via player request.

What?? Craaap, I thought you removed the whole inactivity deletion.
Well, now I need to log into them all, just got to get the damn game and mod installed first, haha.

If I understand, as long as the ship has not the three criteria, no risk?

RE: Planned Server mainteinance - Dec 31st - Serpentis - 12-31-2025

Well, I mean, I haven't logged them in more then 20 or so days, so, better be sure

So as long as it has more than 10 minutes or is older than 7 days I don't need to go thru all my ships making sure tt have 1k+ credits ?

Like, will at least one of the criteria by being met make the ship safe ?

It's not that hard to get over 10 minutes so unless you reserved a name forever ago you should be fine? (Unless you prepped a ship on the base the reset is on or transferred one, I suppose).

I understand the worry, of course but there's a relatively easy prevention method here:
Fly to another system and land on a different base/fly back or something.
Or twiddle your thumbs in dry dock.

True, but doing it before POB maintenance even turns back on will probably bite a few people.
