Good question: there's been a lot of RP around set on Crete. Whenever i've written about the Capital City ive only ever called it "capital city" as I dont think anyone has ever agreed on a name for it and i just decided to name it that and not arbitrarily make it up.
In terms of landscape though Ive always written that the terrain outside the capital is mountainous, with lots of little valleys in which you can find trees and vegetation and some local wildlife.. however on the whole its barren... there are some streams and creaks and what not, some areas for growing food but (obviously) not enough to support a large population.
I dont know if others will agree with me though!

May be Canyons? They are BIG canyons!
So the lower parts are... dry oceans? Its obviously taken from a long way up as it lacks detail in terms of visible mountain ranges or rivers (even dried up ones)
Also, Personally I wouldn't put cities, or at least name them without getting a bit more feedback/ideas from a wide section of corsair players - Names may not actually be reflective of Crete that exists on earth.
