The Lost Star Vigilante

The IMG realizes that the Lost Star Vigilante - defined by the |* transponder signal - are not and will not be a part of the IMG nor take commands from it but act as an independent element in the Taus. As the goals of the Lost Star Vigilante are largely these of the IMG, the Guild wants to show its appreciation by providing support.


[size=medium][color=#FFFFFF]1. Tau Security Operations:

The IMG supports the Lost Star's operations in the Taus by empowering the members to enforce the law of the Taus in the following ways:

1.1 Patrol Activity: The IMG realizes that the Lost Star Vigilante contributes to the security of the Taus. Therefore they are granted the same rights to impose the Tau laws as the IMG patrols have.

1.2 Escort / Scout Operations: If Lost Start members act as scouts or escort for IMG convoys, they are to be paid as the IMG escorts/scouts do.

1.3 Contraband / Anti-Smuggling Operations: The Vigilante can seize contraband as defined by the Tau/IMG standards. The IMG offers the infrastructure to either destroy Cardamine safely or set Slaves free. Contraband is defined as:
a) Cardamine
b) Liquid Cardamine
c) Slaves
d) Human Organs



1.4 Combat Operations: The Vigilante can attack all enemies of the Guild, as well as those that are listed on the IMG Bountyboard. Even though Lost Star is not visible on the Bounty Board, your group counts as registered.

Enemies of the Guild are defined as:

a) Outcast
b) Hogosha
c) Farmer Alliance
d) Kruger "Silver" and "Copper" Vigilantes
e) Alien "Nomads" or alien influenced/controlled/supporting entities
f) Maquis that are hostile to IMG (excluded: MG|, |Maquis)
g) Contraband Smugglers (additional cargo scan required)
h) Pirates
i) All factions bountied on the IMG bounty board
j) All individuals bountied on the IMG bounty board
k) All vessels that act hostile towards the IMG and which Lost Star engages in support of IMG in accordance with this treaty (additional proof of hostility required)
l) All Freelancer and Mercenaries hired by enemies of the IMG (additional proof of hostility required)

2.1. Docking Rights: The IMG grants docking rights on the IMG installations in the Taus.

2.1.1 Exception: If your ships are hunted by law enforcers, please refrain from docking at IMG installations while they can prove it. Freeport 10 would be an alternative, or disengaging first and heading to a secret base like Falkland would be safer.

2.2 Financial Support: The IMG wants to support the efforts of the Lost Star Vigilante financially. The payment is understood to enable the group to maintain operational efficiency and expand their operations. It is no attempt to influence the actions.

2.2.1 The financial support will be: 50 million Sirian Credits / month
2.2.2 There can be bonuses for exceptional results

3.1 Action Reports: The Guild needs Lost Star to submit action reports to this encrypted channel.

3.2 Combat Reports: The Guild needs combat reports about engagements that ended with enemies of the Guild neutralized.

3.3 Submission of Data: The following data has to be provided to the IMG. It will be kept strictly confidential and not shared with any party.

3.3.1: Names of Pilots
3.3.2: Callsigns of all ships

3.4 Secrecy Agreement: The IMG's involvement in the actions of the Lost Star Vigilante cannot be disclosed. All activities of the Lost Star Vigilante need to be discreet, so that the IMG cannot be linked to their actions.

For validation about this contract, the required information about the members of Lost Star will be therefore given.
We will also send important information and reports here, that are important for the IMG's and Lost Star's business in this contract.

Hello, this is [color=#FF9966]Clarence Rowe of the Lost Star Vigilantes. I have the honor of reporting our first successes after the contract.

The first encounter is with an Outcast named El.Camino. Our members Tavish Degroot, and Ashley Vaughn met with Outcast in Tau 37.
The outcast was laying in wait to ambush some miners, so the LSV pilots deciced to remove the threat, while sending a bloody message to the Maltese that we are prepared to fight them to the very end.

The second one is me and Tavish, taking down a slaver [RRS]-Kabal who decided to totally ignore our demands for him to stop, and he rushed to the freeport.
We took him down before he could reach to the base. However, only 3000 slaves could be saved, we wish he could be persuaded.

Another thing to mention is that we will modify our transponders to .|* gradually, and notify you of the changes as we do.

We had quite a busy day, so I thought I'd let you know about it.
On our regular patrols in Tau 23 we found a slaver heading for Malta. He didn't want to stop and hand over the slaves as usual, so we had to destroy his ship. In Tau 37 we finally managed to open his hull and free the slaves.
Not without help from Chantal Bonnet though, a member of the gallic navy.

Fortunately almost all of the slaves survived the explosion and were brought to the Freeport.
However, there were 99 lives we couldn't save...

While we were still in front of the Freeport, Outcast ships from the XTF approached us. After a short conversation it became clear that they were looking for a fight.
Soon enough the whole place was full of Outcasts coming straight from the Jumphole. It might have ended badly for us if it wasn't for your pilots, who responded to the emergency call.
The battle evolved into a large-scale fight with many different groups taking part in it. There were the Outcasts and a Maquis gunship working together, while the combined forces of the IMG, the Colonials, two members of the gallic navy and us, the Lost Stars, opposed them.

Even though we lost a few ships, even one of our own pilots, we managed to drive them out of the system in the end.
Our group accomplished one kill and we forced another two to dock at the Freeport, one of them being an XTF going by the name Contador.

Me and Tavish Degroot saw an Outcast Tridente, named MNS-Lunalight in Tau 23. We decided
to give him the chase for his life to his beloved Malta, so he won't be back again. As we were
chasing, the gunboat decided to be funny, so we took it down.

Tavish Degroot stumbled upon a cardamine smuggler called Mr_Steve as he was patrolling through
Tau 23. This one was clever enough to drop the contraband to save his life. Tavish destroyed
3495 cardamine, and let the smuggler leave.

We found another Outcast named Moonwalker[13th] in Tau 23 as we were patrolling. Because the
safety of Tau 23 is of importance to us, as it is requested in our contract with you, we decided to
eliminate the threat completely. The sabre was blown up, despite his funny tricks and a chase
around their grand rock 'Cali' for about 250 laps.

Alright, a few more things to report.

Let's keep this short. We saw two Outcast gunships in Tau 23 and decided to make quick work of them.
Soon enough their hulls got opened by a few antimatter salvos.

Later that day Rowe and me stopped a Slaver near the jumphole to Tau 37.
He decided to save his life and hand over the slaves.

Last but not least, the Rogues visited the Taus again. We stopped one of their Transports near the Freeport in Tau 37 and convinced him to drop the slaves.
We could only transport half of them to the Freeport though, because a rogue bomber decided to shoot the pod of the other ones and kill them all. He then proceeded to dock on the Freeport.
If we see him again, we will make sure he won't come out alive.

Clarence Rowe also found one member of the Samarran Raiders in Tau 23.
Soon enough that guy got blown up too.

Lost Star Vigilantes: Final Contract & Action Reports - SoF - 01-27-2012

Oy... This is Vigilante Sol Fenrir, been a long time... I missed Taus... hopefully I will not be forced to leave again until our job is done here.

Tavish Degroot and I learned that there is a raid in Tau 23, so we decided to check it out. We found out that the Outcasts are attacking the GMS base, Indochina. To reduce the Outcast presence in the system we engaged the Maltese.

We chased a Tridente and were very close to taking it down, however it was supplied with repairs by a freelancer Spatial named RustyCarriage. We turned our attention to the freelancer and Tavish took it down, before losing his ship himself. The Tridente had left the battlefield after that, and I continued searching for new targets.

Near the Indochina base GMS-Novelle, a bomber, was fighting two Outcast sabres, Alfonso.Ramirez[101st] and Moonwalker[13th], so I decided to aid him. His accurate SNAC was something to admire, he took them down while the Outcasts decided to concentrate on me. With that, the Maltese presence in Tau 23 was totally removed.

That night we had a get together around Java to secure the system for IMG convoy's departing for Rheinland.

Soon after the convoy left, we spotted a member of Samarran Raiders, or better known by you as "Slavers Republic". We offered the slaver girl a fair fight despite that we hate their kind... Johanna needed training. Soon (SR~Adorra.Vigil was blown up.

After that, in our patrols to secure the system we stumbled upon an Outcast going by the name Carbon.Seven. We gave him a fair fight as well, and he was blown up.

Next day Tavish Degroot and Johanna, took down two Outcasts in Tau 23. These two are becoming fearsome enemies of the Maltese, and a beacon of hope for the people we are fighting for...
I am glad to have them with me. They took down Moonwalker[13th] (again), and Andres.Cruz.

I'll keep this short.


First shot of the day was a SR woman, Adorra Vigil, that Sol ran into in Tau-23.
Going by what Sol said, she didn't exactly show much resistance, even when told to properly defend herself right before the final shot. Weird for a SR.

A little later, Tavish and Sol ran into a Pirate Train flown by a junker, transporting slaves to Malta.
The two were chasing the 'Soledad', which almost made it to freeport 10. Almost. It got blown up outside the freeport.
The slaves were saved and set free on freeport 10 right away.

After undocking on Java, I was immediately called by Johanna and Sol, the reason being a bottlenose called 'Noblesse Oblige', going around. Pirating people. In Tau 23 and surrounding space.
It didn't sport a Bounty hunter identification either. I still wonder how a random pirate got his hands on a bounty hunter ship, especially because he wasn't that good of a pilot.
Long story short, we made the bottlenose pop after it jumped to Kyushu.

Final shot of the day is by Sol, the target being an Outcast Falcata going by the name of 'spacetrooper'.
Said Falcata was sitting around the Tau-37 jumphole in 23, together with a Ranseur.
Since there wasn't enough firepower available, the only thing that was downed was the Falcata bomber.

Johanna here,

reporting the results of our patrols and encounters yesterday.
At the beginning of the day yesterday, Tavish Carlito, Sol and me located an Outcast gunboat passing through, named Venetia.Heavy.Infantry. We interupted it's cruise engines and asked the captain what he is probably planning. But obviously, the captain only wanted to win some time and tried to escape. That act resulted in the destruction of his ship and therefore the elimination of a threat in this sector.

Later then, we encountered an Oracle vessel, called Maximus. The gunboat class vessel got stopped but managed to dock at Cali before we were able to destroy it. We didn't see that ship in the evening again.

A bit later, after all that, we noticed a Border Worlds Transport, named Raymond-Baron, sneaking to the Tau 37 jumphole. We followed and finally were able to stop it. But after we told the captain, that he should drop the slaves, he continued fleeing to the Omicron Alpha jumphole. We had no other choice to damage it a lot...until he finally stopped and reacted to our demand. But unfortunately nearby Bounty Hunter rookies used that moment and blew up the whole ship...but the slaves survived.

While I was on my way to the Freeport in Tau 37 to get on our transport, we detected a SR, named Adorra Vigil, who was flying around. We saw him as possible threat to the slaves in their pods which resulted in the destruction of the SR ship, done by Clarence Rowe.

While Rowe was fighting the slaver, I collected all the pods with our transport and brought them back on safe ground, the Freeport.

The rest of the night was very quiet...almost too quiet. After we saved the slaves and Rowe removed the SR, we went back to Java, doing some last checks in the system before beginning the new day.
