Scouting Report: Sigma 15/21

Two interesting things to report. Primarily a Corsair installation within a nebula in the Sigma-15 system. And one... unknown installation within the Mekong Cloud of Sigma-21.

The Sigma-15 Installation:
Sometime ago, I charted majority of the Sigma-15 system, choosing to avoid the nebula without a wingman. Thankfully Schattenwolf joined me for this trip and we ventured inside, I suppose my suspicions were well-placed, for indeed there was an Outpost maintained by the Corsairs within the nebula. Probably a resupply or drop-off point between their raids. There was nothing else worth noting about the installation.

The Sigma-21 Encounter:
The moment we jumped into Sigma-21, I knew something was wrong. There were distant EM readings on the eastern-most part of the Mekong Cloud.
Back in my days of flying for the Core, we'd know trouble was coming for us whenever such readings began to become noticeable. As such, most of us were trained to avoid the signals when scouting near systems in the Omicrons. With Schattenwolf's discretion, we went directly towards the readings however, and stumbled upon a base, enclosed by a minefield akin to the one we have wrapped around Schatten. Seconds after we came within range, a wing of Kusarian ships fired upon us, all of them using nomadic weaponry. We fought them off and bugged out before more could arrive. I was only able to see brief silhouette of the station, but it's definitely not human in origin...

That concludes this report.

Incident report

Two incidents to report today as well, one has shaken me a little, but I'm composed to active field duty condition, for the most part.

Incident number one involved some mouthy freelancer, he was determined on insulting my duties and undermining my obligation to uphold Rheinland's laws. As a result I asked him to pay a small fine as an apology for the wounded reputation to both the House and me. He attempted to run, which made my patience wither. He even tried to fight for those... five seconds or less.

The second incident was an operation that was performed by the combined wing of several of our agents and myself, into the Kansas system, more specifically 'Tuttle Creek'. We discovered a gate there thanks to the hesitant of a freelancer by the name of Felicia Drum. Something about that woman is off, as such I'd advise an eye be kept on her whereabouts. Regarding the incident into some... Unknown system, I'm fairly blank as to what happened. I don't remember what happened for a large span of time during that point of the operation, only that we somehow wound up in Pennsylvania and were followed by nomadic fighters and then soon assaulted by the Hellfire Legion.
Regardless, I suppose the objective of the operation was a success, a few ships of ours were taken down but the pods of the pilots were secured and brought back to Rheinland. Enclosed here should be the mass-dump of visual evidence. I don't remember taking most of them...

Concluding the report.

Patrol report: Junker convoy

While performing a routine patrol I could catch a Junker convoy of the so called Junker Congress.
The convoy consisted of four vessels all moving Military Vehicles obviously from planet Nürnberg.
I could initiate some chatter and it turned out to be a friendly and cooperative one to my surprise.

While escorting the convoy through Dresden, Omega 55 and Omega 41 I could gather the intel that this group used to supply the Zoners
at Gran Canaria in Omega 49.
They even mentioned the OSI group but it seems OSI had not answered communications by the Junker Congress for a while and is not friendly to them anymore.
But they also stated that they are looking to do business with OSI in the future.

After the convoy jumped to Omega 47 I've decided to return to Rheinland as venturing further deep into Hessian territory without an escort would not be smart.

Interception of Nomad and Das Wilde

I started todays shift working under Kommissaroberrat Enfield to inspect the Rheinland Federal Police for possible infection or anti-government supporters. We ran into the in the Frankfurt system, dealing with a stray GMG transport. Kommissaroberat Enfield sent me off to keep an eye on the new police recruit and get an idea of what he was like. Being his first day on the job, he was very eager to prove himself. After following him around for a bit, he met up with the rest of the Police and the Detective in charge asked me to head back to Kommissaroberrat Enfield, however he had dissapeared, so I stopped by Schatten to resupply and then flew over to Hamburg via Bremen. On my return to New Berlin I met back up with Kommissaroberrat Enfield again. We patrolled the area around Dortmund and Essen Stations, until the RFP patrol came by and asked for assistance dealing with a capital-ship in the Hamburg System. We started to follow behind them, when Kommissaroberrat Enfield told me something was afoot, and told me to recall the RFP back to New Berlin.

Jumping into Hamburg, I took the lane to Alster Shipyard and told the RFP to head back, they complied, and Kommissaroberrat Enfield asked me to escort the capital ship, which was the battlecruiser Eidolon Wraith, of Auxesia, to New Berlin to help fight off a wave of nomads that had jumped into the system between Essen Station and the Aachenfeld. I made it to Battleship Westfalen without meeting the battlecruiser, which must have already made it the New Berlin System.

When I got back to New Berlin, the Kommissaroberrat was fending off waves of nomads with the help of the RFP. As I was about to help, the Eidolon Wraith sent out a distress call. They were jumping into the system when something malfuctioned, possibly due to the nomads jumping in around the same time. They were unable to ascertain their location, beyond being in one the four asteroid fields of New Berlin. The Kommissaroberrat sent me off the find them and escort them to the fight.

I headed off the the Northen part of the Ruhrfeld, which is known for its gravitational anomalies, that might have been where the Eidolon Wraith ended up. However, when I got there, all I found was a Red Hessian Transport, so I headed back to check one of the other fields for the Eidolon Wraith, however at this point the ship came out of the Aachenfeld, right next to the fighting, and helping the Kommissaroberrat and the remaining RFP to fight off the nomads.

By the time I got back to the fight, the nomads were turning back and retreated, dissapearing from our radars shortly after. The battlecruiser was heavily damaged, and the Kommissaroberrat gave them emergency docking permission at the Oder Shipyard, where he helped stabilize the sthip, and the Arkon, a battleship from the Auxesia, came to take aboard the wounded from Eidolon Wraith.

During the repairs, a Zoner transport holding several Rheinland Military pilots passed by Planet New Berlin. They claimed the pilots were part of Das Wilde, so the Kommissaroberrat demanding custody of the pilots. The Zoner trying to escape, claiming the Kommissaroberrat didn't understand the situation. The vessel was destroyed, and the infected pilots taken into custody on board the Kommissaroberrat's gunboat.

Once it became clear that the repairs would be very time intensive, I took the infected pilots, and some nomad remains from the fighr back to Schatten for research, and now I am writing up this report.

The fight between our forces with Auxesia against the Unioners

I received the call, that there were several Unioner ships in Frankfurt making trouble, there was a Military pilot with me so we made our way to the Frankfurt system.
When we arrived at Mannheim station, i already saw them on my scanner.
Several Arbeiter-class fighters and 1 Solidaritat-class bomber and even a Hel-class pirate cruiser.
Since we were only 2 and they were 5, we waited for our re-inforcements to arrive by giving them time to explain their intend.
They talked about them providing information about the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee and the Rote Hessen and that they were usefull for us.
Later on, many Auxesian ships arrived at the lane and it didn't take long until the Unioners tried to flee.
We wanted to give them a chance with communicating if they would make their cruiser go away but they simply tried to flee with it.
The Auxesians started to fight them, destroying the cruiser, so we had to help them.
As far as i have seen, we didn't loose any forces and i was able to destroy 2 ships of them.

Engagement with Unioner forces

Guten abend meine herren,

Today's report starts with a bad news , unfortunately.
Long range scanners , as well as civilian workers picked up a large force of Unioner forces roaming the system of Frankfurt.I have Joined forces with a squadron of other BDM officers and started our patrol.
After half an hour of constant monitoring and wandering through the system , we finally found them near the New Berlin jump gate.Although it was a sizeable force , almost twice our size , we decided to engage them.
I was the first to fall , because I had 2 unioner fighters on my tail.My biggest wish was that I had set up my weapons properly before the battle , cause this little mistake cost me my ship and nearly my life.Soon after I fell, the rest of our force was destroyed in combat by a superiour numerical force.

That would be all.

Trouble on the Homefront

Last morning, while flying through Hamburg, I came across a freelance pilot flying an Oder-class Gunboat. I questioned them as to how they obtained such a vessel without permission from the Rheinwher, nor the Bundestag. Apparently, there is someone on Battleship Westfalen that is letting military equipment out to unauthorized personal, which will need looking into by the Inspektorat. Eventually, the pilot was recruited into the Rheinland Military, and is now authorized to fly the Gunboat. While talking with this pilot, a zoner flying an Odin Red Hessian Fighter flew past. They were warned to not continue flying that vessel in Rheinland space, although I did press further as the situation with the Gunboat and a possible leak of military equipment was more pressing. The Zoner did however drop off some captured pilots, that I later dropped off at Vierlande Prison.

For the majority of the is incident, I had backup from Flieger Wolfgang of the Rheinland Military, and after dropping off the prisoners, we decided to check in upon the gravitational anomaly that linked Hamburg to Kloen. We found several pirate fighters and transports, who were swiftly dealt with. Upon jumping through to Kloen, several more pirates were shot down, and our scanners were reporting a cruiser class vessel nearby. We flew deeper into the cloud, and before we even gained visual sigh of the cruiser, it was upon us. After engaging in evasive maneuvers, I noticed that the cruiser seemed to be guarding some sort of supply depot, but as I got closer to scan the depot, the cruiser hit my ship with several blasts and I was forced to eject. Fortunately, Wolfgang managed to tractor in my escape pod, and escaped back to Vierlande, where I'm now writing up this report while waiting for a new ship from Alster Shipyard

Encounter with Junkers and the Unioners

My patrol started on Straussenberg where i headed to Frankfurt for a routine check, we had a lot of Unioner encounters there in the recent days so i checked it twice.
What i found was a Samura transport who was robbed by a Junker that offered an 'escort' in exchange for half of the cargo.
The Samura ship gave me the logs so i could see that it was true and i was confirmed.
The Hoyeswerda, a "Tirpitz"-class Battlecruiser was with me, i wanted it to keep the Junker at his place, with lethal force if there is no other solution.
The Junker started to run away, we shot him, he destroyed the Ore however but we destroyed him.
Later on, a UN ship, a cruiser came to us too, as we told it to stop it started shooting at me so the Hoyerswerda opened fire destroying the UN ship without any losses on our side.
I returned to Mainz right after that to write this report.

Gallic Fugitive

Guten Nachmittag,

Initially, we sortied out in the hopes of tracking down and destroying a Red Hessian 'Vidar' Class Kreuzer, However, Any trace of his whereabouts had vanished in the time it took us to Mobilize. Instead, we encountered a solitary OS&C Vessel, with a broad, and interesting Cargo. Besides a suspicious amount of Ore materials, the Liner was also ferrying an individual with a warrant out for his arrest. While the Nachteule handled the transfer, a Hessian arrived and I had to drive him off, he fled to Omega-3, Which is out of our normal zone of operations. Returning to the Nachteule, we proceeded to New Berlin, and Vierlande Prison respectively. He appears Gallic in origin, and, under orders, the Liner transferred it's charge to the Nachteule, who brought the individual to Vierlande. We will begin questioning and inquiries soon.

Encounter with the UN

Again the case, the UN a thorn in my eyes, not only ours, it was the cruiser "Abomination" a threat that is constantly killing civilians for its own good.
I saw it at the lane to Planet Stuttgart when i came from the New-berlin system.
I dropped of the lane and disrupted it so the cruiser couldn't try to escape, a Rheinland Military ship was with me which got destroyed by the cruisers' Solaris-turrets, devastating firepower against our strikeforces.
My SNAC couldn't do that much, the shield regenerated all the time when i was able to fire again so i took the lane to Battleship Karlsruhe to change it for a Nova Torpedo, which worked better.
Agent "Nachteule" joined me later on, we both damaged the cruiser but we couldn't do enough to kill it, until our RNC-Balder arrived who had the firepower to kill it in the cloud next to Damrstadt just before it could dock.
I headed back to Karlsruhe and am writing this now.
