RE: Battle event: Operation Royal Flush - Fluffyball - 05-04-2015

Exiles are allied with BAF in their (Exile) Infocard. They also have Leeds in their ZOI. Yet there are voices that Exiles won't be allowed to participate.

What kind of nonsense is that?

I strongly suggest making this now-do/now-don't more clear. Specially because it changes at one point in the middle of the battle. All that adrenalin. All that returners on the side that's winning already.

Should be fairly clear. If the battleship has a health bar, you can't come back. If it doesn't, you can. Admins should definitely reiterate that at the beginning of the event though, and with console messages when the relevant point occurs.

Sorry for pushing you back to this mate, but I think cca. 10-20 players will come AGAIN, w/o even reading about event rules AGAIN, or ignoring them AGAIN. I hope I'm wrong. They spoil our fun and degrade this game's reputation.

There must be some simple but aggressive way to inform them when to stop respawning, just in case I'm right. Why everybody thinks all are reading (or care about) console messages? In all that mess?

Maybe say it via the mission message, the one you can see again by pressing N?

RE: Battle event: Operation Royal Flush - Wiljan - 05-04-2015

I would like to know if the BAF would allow me, Capt. of the WilJan, Council Battleship Redemtion, and Capt of the Gert01, Council Cruiser, to help flush the royal "PAINS" from the Leeds system. We have a score to settle with the GRN and their allies.

RE: Battle event: Operation Royal Flush - Wesker - 05-04-2015

I agree with pepe I got more green rage messages than the # of projectiles, fired.
Also people need to understand that indies are uncontrollable.

Really some provision is needed. However I look foward to making the oulbi go poof.
Me and pacific had a crazy time commanding that much lolwuttery. Hope this is fun Big Grin.

RE: Battle event: Operation Royal Flush - t0l - 05-04-2015

These events don't mean anything because nobody logs for the GRN side.

RE: Battle event: Raiding Leeds (May 9th) - Blodo - 05-04-2015

UPDATE:

After further discussion with the official factions who will be running the event, we have decided to change it slightly in the interest of smoothness.
  • The flow of the event has been changed into a preliminary battle. The Oubli will not be destroyed just yet, but will be attacked in a future event.
  • The event where the Oubli will be destroyed will happen in the upcoming few weeks, so keep an eye out.

See you on the 9th!

RE: Battle event: Operation Royal Flush - jammi - 05-04-2015

As an alternative, might I suggest an attack on a 'refueling platform' near the NL JH that the GRN fleet was using to stage from? Would make a better preliminary target for a push on the Oubli and also focuses the event into an attack/defend parameter, which will garner a lot more attention.

Also, another interesting thing to note about the Oubli is that lore-wise, it's said that the entire command staff that's overseeing and coordinating the ground offensive on Leeds is sat safe in there. Would blowing the ship up with those staff inside then be a factor in the storyline?

Did you even, uh, you know, attend the last event? Just because there aren't many GRN|, doesn't mean there aren't any GRN. NPC battleship spawns will also be used to support the smaller side.

In addition, seeing as people keep getting confused about what counts as an infocard ally, I'll run through what they say right now to clear everything up once and for all:

TEAM A:

BAF - BPA, Bretonian Corporations,
LN - LSF, LPI, Liberty Corporations (Leeds not in ZoI).

Strange factions: BHG and Exiles (alliances noted in their infocards, but not on the other faction's).

TEAM B:

GRN - GRP, Gallic Corporations.

Which means technically, other local groups which specifically are not invited (unless the admins want to specifically invite them) include:

CR, Council, SCRA, Outcasts, Corsairs, Gaians, Mollys, Freelancer, Bretonian Privateers. Anyone else not specifically mentioned above.

Things have recently changed, I recommend reading the OP again.
