RE: Coalition Recruitment - Tabris - 10-30-2016 If anything he seemed even more disinterested as the muppet saluted him and had the gall to think he was out of the woods...he must be losing his touch if he hasn't made this simple muppet start crying from sheer pressure... Shaking his head he raised his free hand to one of the marines with a simple gesture who took it as the command it was. The Marine on the right roughly cuffed Alexei in the back of the head, likely making him see stars due to both the hand being armoured and the fact his 'cuff' felt more like a punch. "Listen you insignificant little spec of dust, you are not in the army, you are not a pilot." he berated harshly, sneering at him before schooling his expression back into a dull unimpressed 50-yard stare. "At best you are a spare practice dummy for the Marines for days when they need to a live target that runs and screams like a little Gaul when faced with a Coalitioner that is under-height, under-weight and underarmed. Now you are going to sit there like the good little muppet you are and you will answer some questions, if I don't like what I hear you'll be dealt a penalty. Three Penalties and you lose." he stated before sitting up in his seat, his pistol trained on Alexei as he stared him down. "First question: You are on patrol and you see a Red Hessian engaging in piracy against a Kruger Vessel, what do you do?" RE: Coalition Recruitment - Major.H - 10-31-2016 Is this what it feels like to be cattle lead to the slaughter house? Finally this meeting was headed somewhere Alexei thought to himself after hearing the first question. On the other hand there was no assurance that correctly answering all questions would result in a positive outcome from his point view. Alexei then answered saying: "I would approach the Kruger Vessel from the opposite side while contacting the Red Hessian vessel and offer my assistance." "This would obviously depend on current orders for the patrol I am on." RE: Coalition Recruitment - Tabris - 11-01-2016 As he answered there was a pause. The tension became so thick one could easily cut it with a knife. Eventually the Commissar merely frowned and nodded slightly. "Well, looks like there IS something resembling intelligence in that skull of yours." he praised/mocked, the Marines still clasping Alexei's shoulders said nothing, their armour masking any smirks or glares that may lurk behind their helmets... "Alright Muppet, you find yourself on a Recon Mission to Liberty, you are cut off from any friendlies and there is nobody in the House who'll help you let alone not give you away, how will you handle the situation and how will you get out alive?" RE: Coalition Recruitment - Major.H - 11-01-2016 Wow, was that a positive pointer from the Commissar? Alexei could not get a reading of any sort off of the man with gun. But o man the soldiers beside Alexei gave off a rich aroma of what could be a mix of old armor infused with sweat and possibly as much fear as was intended for himself. What is the verbal trap the commissar is hoping he steps into when answering this latest question in tactics? Alexei takes a breath and answers: "Firstly I would assess the situation by determining whether my ship has an immediate threat." "If my ship has been detected i would scan enemy ships to weigh up my chances of destroying them before they can send out word" "If my ship was under threat of being destroyed, I would retreat towards the nearest jumphole that would get me to a neutral or friendly zone. This I would do while dodging known patrol routes and enemy fire." "My technique used for doging fire would depend on the ship I am piloting at the time". "When piloting a fighter craft I find it best to start high speed drifts that change direction at regular interval in a helix form. These high speed drifts are achieved by pushing engine and thruster force to the max speed at which point the engines are cut out. The craft will continue to drift in one direction until i apply burst thrust at a slight angle to change direction and to start forming the helix maneuver." "Debris fields, gas fields, and sometimes mine fields can be used to loose pursuers in" "If however there was no immediate threat, i would continue on a pre marked path that avoids known patrol paths and bases." RE: Coalition Recruitment - Tabris - 11-03-2016 A brief pause lingered between them before the Commissar reluctantly nodded his head. He looked rather put out at the answers and his tone reflected it. "Yes...Well done, perhaps later we'll give you a biscuit." he mocked, though his tone was quite put out at the fact he wouldn't have an excuse to kill off Alexei. "Alright, final question, and you better get it right because this is an 'all or nothing' scenario for you..." he warned before cracking his knuckles one by one. Letting the tension build up again as he calmly finished cracking his knuckles. "Alright Muppet, you find yourself in possession of an alien artifact, it has a significant amount of power that could either make or break a Coalition Victory. Do you turn it over to the Ministry of Truth, The Order or the Revolutionary Army itself?" he posed, this question was one where the slightest mistake would be death...Alexei would have to choose carefully. RE: Coalition Recruitment - Major.H - 11-04-2016 That is seriously a tricky question. Has this day not seen enough of fools blood. Should Alexei simply state an answer? Or should he take an indirect route explaining his reasoning that builds up to an answer? To much information may only raise tempers. Alexei says: "I would most definitely bring the artifact to my superiors within the Revolutionary Army. The Army will decide whether they require assistance from the Order. And the Ministry of Truth can decide whether or not the existence of the artifact should become public knowledge if the Army decides to disclose any information." RE: Coalition Recruitment - Tabris - 11-08-2016 Huh...He hadn't been expecting the muppet to utilize such thinking, most tend to flounder when he posed a question such as this. Still... With a nod he holsters his pistol, looking like he had just been cheated out of the last slice of pie before he folded his hands together. Nodding to the Marines who let go of Alexei and left the room, leaving him un-harmed and the atmosphere slightly less oppressive. "Alright, So you are not the average dumb muppet who comes through those doors, very well, we shall let the Army determine if you are Military-material. You will report to the Quartermaster and await further orders. Welcome to the Army, may the Premier have mercy upon you for the Ministry of Truth will not if you mess up." he stated before waving him out of the office, apparently not even remotely interested anymore and bored out of his skull with Alexei's very presence. RE: Coalition Recruitment - Major.H - 11-08-2016 With a sigh of relief Alexei stood up and left the office happy just to be alive. He then asked for directions from the Alisha the secretary who with a surprised look simply pointed in a general direction. Without a moment to waste Alexei went to meet with the Quartermaster. RE: Coalition Recruitment - FoxLi - 11-13-2016 A nervous man standing in front of the message board with his backpack appearing to be talking to himself. One of the officers approach the man. "What are you doing?" A man jumps slightly out of fear. "Um... I I was, I was just... looking for the recruitment center for the Army." "First of all its SIR, and second of all when let me see your paperwork." The man pulled a piece of paper from his backpack and handed it to the officer while apologizing "Um, yes, sorry, sorry SIR, and here is the paper." "That's much better, now let me show you the way, follow me." The officer and the recruit take a quick walk around the corner and up the stairs to a big metal door with the flag of the SCRA on it. "Here we are." "Thank you, sir!" The man looked like he was going to puke. "One more thing, try relaxing and being more determined when you go to talk to the commissar, because he will eat you alive, and try not to annoy him for your own safety." The man's face went pale, while the officer started walking away and laughing The man stood there whispering to himself "You can do this! I came this far I will not take no for an answer! But I don't want to die... He won't kill me, right? Well, that does not matter now, I have to do this even if it means losing my life. I need to be determined towards my goal!" After opening the big metal door that gave a shrieking sound, the man walked in. On the right side there was a desk with a beautiful woman sitting behind it and a soldier in full armor in front of a door. On the left side there was a table with a few people in uniforms playing cards. After seeing the fully armed soldier the man turned left and started walking, all the way to the other side of the room where there was a few people in uniforms, playing cards on the table. He went for the door behind them that he saw was the bathroom door. After going in, and getting to the mirror and sink the man looked at him and he knew he did not have any chance looking like that. After that he went into one of the bathroom stalls while opening his backpack to uncover a bottle of mineral water that was actually homemade fruit brandy. "Okay, just a few sips to relax!" After almost a third of the bottle the man was getting less nervous even though he was barely tipsy. After that, he sprayed some cold water on his face to look fresh. Then he took a small bottle with a spray and sprayed it in his mouth to hide the scent of alcohol. He walked across the hall to the secretary. The secretary was very busy and did not even look at the man. "Excuse me my name is...." The secretary pointed her finger to one of the doors "Aha, thanks you very much, ma'am, also your hair looks lovely." The secretary gave out a small smile before returning completely to her work. The door was just a few steps in the from the desk, where the soldier was standing. The new recruit approached the door. "Good day, sir, I'm here for my interview!" The soldier without a glance opened the door, where an older gentleman was sitting behind a desk reading what appears to be a recruitment firm. The room looked like any plain room, it was painted grey with nothing much inside. Altho there was very nice bottle of Vodka that looked really old on the shelf of one of the walls. "Good morning comrade commissar, I am here for my interview!" He almost looked confident, but he had a feeling that the commissar saw right through him.. Recruitment form RE: Coalition Recruitment - Tabris - 11-14-2016 Oh for Katz' sake...The Commissar groaned as he was interrupted from his reading once again, his eyes darted up past his reading material and what he saw was...not impressive. Yet another muppet. His expression turned dull and impassive as he stared down the newcomer, not giving away a single emotion as both Commissar and Applicant stared eachother down for a full minute. The atmosphere was thick with tension as the impassive gaze of the Commissar bored into the muppet... After another minute of silence his tone turned ice cold with a simple "Sit" as he went back to reading, waiting for the man to sit down. He waited yet another minute more before he spoke once again, his gaze not leaving his reading material, almost as if he considered the man across from him unworthy of even gazing upon. "You are seeking to join the Army...I get muppets like you every now and then, they think joining the army is a grand thing and that they can become heroes..." he stated, letting him soak in this statement before sharply continuing his tirade. "If you are thinking of joining the Army for Glory I suggest you reconsider that promptly, the Army is the front line against the tyranny of the Houses, we fight to spread our cause to all those in need of the Red Banner and it's comfort, tell me just for the-" He scoffs for a moment "- Record...Why are you enlisting to join the Revolutionary Army?" |
