It's not related to roleplay much, it's more of a matter of K'Hara frequently making someone get a GAME OVER screen out of the blue without anything preceding it. because scary nomads lol!! (actually it's just annoying) RE: Nomads - The Savage - 12-21-2015 @"Freedom Phantom" Well, it is still a serious violation of rule 1.7, as powergaming is a big no-no and I don't understand why violators from K'hara should go away with it, in case of the incidents as depicted by @Ramke. RE: Nomads - Thyrzul - 12-21-2015 Powergaming? Where? RE: Nomads - The Savage - 12-21-2015 (12-21-2015, 03:19 PM)Thyrzul Wrote: Powergaming? Where? Quote:1.7 Metagaming* and/or powergaming** to gain a roleplay benefit for factions, groups or individuals The underlined thing is powergaming, because players are not given enough time to react. If there are official K'hara members behaving like that, they should be kicked out of the faction. Violation is violation, no matter if you have "special rights ID". RE: Nomads - Thyrzul - 12-21-2015 I think you mixed 1.7 with 3.1 because 3.1 is the one about the obligation to allow the victim sufficient time to respond, not 1.7. Read these rules again. Read these rules again. No, I think you should read them yourself and think about their meaning. Sure, 3.1 is also broken here - but take into account that instacloaking behind other player in killing him in a second counts as powergaming, as roleplay is affected with no chance to react. Yet the other player cannot be punished for that, because his character have "special rights". Then what we have server rules written for, in the first place? Quote:3.1 An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Saying "Engaging" is not sufficient and aggressors are not allowed to destroy a ship before allowing sufficient time to respond. If a player is attacked he has the right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking. Trading nanobots, shieldbatteries or other ammo and equipment during a fight is also considered taking an active role in the engagement. The bolded-italic part says what you are referring to is a violation of 3.1 and not 1.7, therefor is not powergaming, but an entirely different violation. You are yet to explain why it is also powergaming... RE: Nomads - The Savage - 12-21-2015 Even if I misinterpret things - player in K'hara doing actions such as in the previous post is a violator, which should be slapped and thrown out of the faction. That's my opinion and I won't change it. Official faction members should abide to the rules - not break them and go away with it. RE: Nomads - Thyrzul - 12-21-2015 Indeed, we can agree on that, I just wanted to make sure certain terms like powergaming are interpreted and used correctly. RE: Nomads - The Savage - 12-21-2015 Aye on that, Thyrzul. Sorry 'bout that. |
