- I can see. - she replied, her eyes stuck on the text. - But I believe I can manage. After all the scientific publications and their terrible wording that I went through, I do not think outdated language is going to be a challenge. - she added, smiling a little and very gently closing the book.

''Mind if I ask what publications you're talking about?'' he asked with a raised eyebrow. ''didn't think Gaians paid much mind to science''.

RE: Tour de Cambridge - TheSauron - 07-02-2017

- Really? - she gave him a curious look. - Plenty of our people are competent scientists, scholars, researchers. I personally consider myself one. The very first Gaians were some of the brightest minds of Bretonia, too. I cannot see how our interest in science can be of surprise to anyone.

He simply shrugged in response ''I can, far easier to tell the public that the Gaians are dangerous and deluded rather than scholars and intellectuals with valid points no? First thing I'd try and do would be to destroy your credibility. Plus the amount of times i've been shot at by you lot...just going to say, last thing on our minds in those moments is how right you lot are.''

RE: Tour de Cambridge - TheSauron - 07-02-2017

- I could say the same about you, actually. The police. The Armed Forces. As noble as these organisations might be, the validity of your efforts are hardly of any interest for us when we're trying to stay alive. - she replied, baffled by his sudden insistance on such a subject. - I do not blame you for that. Blaming anyone for that would be a foolish thing to do.

RE: Tour de Cambridge - Victor Steiner - 07-02-2017

''Of course'' he said without contempt of agreement ''We are all just doing our jobs no?''

RE: Tour de Cambridge - TheSauron - 07-02-2017

- Indeed. - was all Caroline said to that. She hid her confusion well, her mind wondering whether pokes like these were the reason John brought her here.

RE: Tour de Cambridge - Victor Steiner - 07-03-2017

''So that one?'' he said, eger to move away from the topic that was clearly on no ones mind. ''Or would you prefer another?''

RE: Tour de Cambridge - TheSauron - 07-03-2017

- I know nothing of these books, so this one might as well be the one to start with. - she shrugged.

RE: Tour de Cambridge - Victor Steiner - 07-03-2017

''Right you are'' he said tucking his own book under his arm. ''Where to next?''
