Few reasons : - Fighter fights were too long already, so nukes/missiles/torps were quite good in making them shorter. Now they are equally strong against all ships, so damage should go up so average fighting time stays pretty much the same. - It's boring to shoot just guns, and that is what most people will do. Gun damage got upped, explosive vulnerability removed. So explosives should be upped as well. Even with 80% increase nothing will change dramatically. Hi, bye!:) EDIT : Oh, and I think that explosive weapons shouldn't be spammed. So yeah, I'm all in favor of reducing their refire rate. Especially for nuke mines and torpedos.
