Dont get me wrong sir, I am not hung up over it - I simply no longer have an interest in participating in this 'event'.
Like I said, I am not here for the pew-pew, and if this is all this 'event' boils down to then it is simply a waste of my time.
Unless I am ordered by my superiors to engage, the Phantoms shall remain just that...phantoms that do not exist as such.
I came along to this event in good faith, so pew-pew my ship, rub your hands together and chuckle 'mwa-ha-ha!', I will turn my back to you.

Yeah, okay I got up to speed on what happened while I was at work.
From what I've learned, it was decided that the event was to be canceled as no GM's and HC's were available (sorry I was working 12hr shifts).
From what I can see, what resulted afterwards was your normal, everyday, in-game encounter.
From the moment it was decided to be cancelled, all actions afterwards didn't need to be on this thread.
I am sorry for how this thread went as the only thing that should have been posted here was that the event was cancelled and an attempt to reschedule made. Any details involving the battle that occured after the event was cancelled is irrelevant to the event itself and it shouldn't have been debated in here.
In my opinion, it shouldn't have been debated at all. If GMG| was to start a thread each time we were outnumbered we'd be making several each day. The recent non-event battle was no different than any others and should be shrugged off just as easily so that way we may get back to being constructive about making this event happen. These "mock" battles should be viewed positively since we all can learn from them and develop all the intricate strategies to counter each other when we can get the real thing done.
I for one hope we can get the real event done and that both parties fly away satisfied that some solid RP comes out of it. So let's do this and let's do this right, not just for our entertainment but for those who wish to read the threads as well.
