They're too safe for people there. Nobody feels danger there RE: Aliens killing transports without a demand is bad for gameplay - Kanzler Niemann - 03-09-2020 "Aliens killing transports without a demand is bad for gameplay" Lyth stop trolling ffs RE: Aliens killing transports without a demand is bad for gameplay - Grumblesaur - 03-09-2020 (03-08-2020, 11:53 PM)Saronsen Wrote:(03-08-2020, 10:56 PM)Grumblesaur Wrote: Lyth is right about this, and I'd even go so far as to say that Nomad players, outside of big events, are detrimental to roleplay. My point is not to help you play Nomads better; my point is to get you to stop playing Nomads altogether, which you would've been able to infer had you actually read my post. This would benefit people who have trouble with English or don't like to RP, and also the players that want to RP: The players of the first category will be drawn to the omicrons and out of the other systems. People who are not willing to deal with no-rp engagers can just stay out of the omicrons, in the other systems, which now have less pvp-only lovers. The people who like both the excitement of no-text surprise attacks and RP can stay in both. It's a win-win-win. Give the player a couple of seconds before you shoot and then go. I don't really see the need to make an exemption from the server rules for Nomads, considering how easy engaging in PvP already is. My two cents as someone who mostly plays Nomads and Wild. My two cents as someone who mostly plays Nomads and Wild. If you were to eliminate special cases from the rules, letting nomads engage without text in some systems would be far from the most counterproductive and useless (especially since its ID based). Things like SRP lines that let you do stuff that isnt visibly written to your victims in your ID, caps vs transport rules, 2 special cases around zoner whales, and xenos-cant-ask-for-credits-just-because-we-nerf-everything come to mind. 99.9999999999% of nomad RP I ever saw was ***I say these 2 lines to everyone because I have to***. Just drop it already and give people who like pure pvp, who dont speak english well enough to do meaning full RP, or who like to be unpredictable something to do already, without forcing 100% useless things that nobody really cares about on them. |
