AFTER ACTION REPORT: NOMAD AND WILD ACTIVITY IN OMICRON DELTA

LV-Bifrost recieved telemetry from U-33 in Omicron Delta. It appears that U-33 encounterd a fleet of Wild and Nomad vessels near Freeport 11 - among them, what appears to be a battleship of Kusari origin bearing the name 'Musashi'. An outcast vessel was also in close proximity, albiet with no sign of hostilities from either side towards one another.

The U-33 was intercepted by several vessels, and engaged in combat while attempting to draw fire away from the Freeport to avoid civilian collateral damage. The unit was lost due to catastrophic damage to the main control transciever array, which disconnected U-33 from the master control crew on board the LV-Bifrost. We have requisitioned a replacement unit from Schatten.

AFTER ACTION REPORT: NOMAD ACTIVITY IN S15

I recieved a report from U-66 involving an encounter of unusual Nomad variant cruiser class and gunboat class warforms, as well as what claims to be a Nomad aligned human sympathizer.

U-66 responded to a distress call from a RTS trade vessel in S15 which abruptly cut off, indicating a loss of communications. Upon reaching the Freeport in Sigma 15, U-66 encountered the aforementioned unusual Nomad variants near the lane to Sigma 13. The Nomad vessels showed signs of damage, and did not appear immediately hostile. Upon detecting power fluctuations from the Cruiser class vessel, U-66 remote operator Kpt Trager reported experiencing visual hallucinations. Analysts have speculated that these were likely induced by attempts at communication from the Nomad variants - though how he could have experienced these from his control bay on Carrier Saar in Frankfurt without detectable signatures is also to be determined. Military Cruiser [RM]KKS-Wurzburg and MND agent Teufel-2 converged on the Nomad vessels, after which, the Wurzburg took jurisdiction over the interaction and determined the Nomads to be a threat to be engaged.

The Nomad Gunboat class warform was destroyed first,
[29.03.2024 06:08:27] Vagrant.Pen.of.Hastur died to BDM|U-66 (74%)
[29.03.2024 06:08:27] Assisted by: [RM]KKS-Wurzburg (18%), Teufel-2 (8%)

Followed by the Cruiser class warform,
[29.03.2024 06:10:23] Vagrant.Wing.of.Psyche's life support went offline thanks to [RM]KKS-Wurzburg (68%)
[29.03.2024 06:10:23] Assisted by: BDM|U-66 (21%), Teufel-2 (11%)

The human sympathizer slipped away in the midst of the fighting.

Attention:

As of right now all BDM personnel are to avoid fatal conflict with the Order Section 8. If they are seen in the Westerwald or Thuringia without express permission prior they are to be directed away from the said areas. Operation GIFT has been postponed due to an approval delay by the Rheinland Defense Ministry and vast amounts of Ion Storms in the sector. Stay prepared, the aliens certainly know we intend to make a move now - but not the means.

On that note, I've done a bit more recon - and I've made our intentions to this "Shozak" very clear.

I would avoid picking a fight with "Harbinger" if possible, the drones it is capable of calling upon are not to be underestimated.

Omicron Delta Compilation Report

This is Hauptkommissar Baldur Schmidt reporting. As part of the U-Korps' observation mission on Omicron Delta concerning Nomad activity, I have collected many pieces of evidence detailing the extent of the alien influence and their engagements against local human forces.

Assorted evidence gathered from the recon operations reveal that Sho'zak can appear as a large, battleship-class warform, as well as a close-up scan of the Order vessel Montana, a battleship of Insurgency origin. Furthermore, we have identified multiple human-origin ships, almost all of them known to be piloted by infectees, seen together and siding with the Nomads.

I took all necessary precautions to ensure that the vessel remains intact. Multiple ships from other intelligence agencies across Sirius were spotted, one of them even assisting in taking down a lone cruiser-class warform. It seems they were concerned about the rise in Nomad activity within the Omicrons, just like us.

Following this, it is revealed that the Nomads were interested in destroying a base, known as "Lab Reactor Read". They appear to have the strength to take on multiple Order assaults, though in some occasions the latter prevailed.

I shall forward this to the Direktor at the earliest convenience.

"Stinger" out.

AFTER ACTION REPORT: OMICRON DELTA

U-33 was on scheduled patrol of Omicron Delta when it encountered a mixed fleet of Corsair, Auxesia, and Order vessels engaged in combat with a force of Bounty Hunters Guild and Core. U-33 assisted with removing the Corsair threat and resumed patrol - but encountered an as of yet undocumented form of alien organism. Henceforth referred to as the Entity, the alien vessel is unlike any other known Nomad forms - exhibiting bilateral symmetry rather than radial, and having no detectable signatures for the protective microorganisms that encapsulate most nomad forms in lieu of human type shielding. Upon approach, three additional unknown but most likely nomad "gunship" class vessels jumped in and immediately attacked. These vessels wielded a seemingly unlimited number of Nomad homing weapons.

U-33 destroyed the three Nomad vessels and resumed scanning the Entity.
Specialist Riemann, the remote operator of U-33 on board the Bifrost reported a sudden onset migrane and nosebleed before losing consciousness. The U-33 was recalled to the Bifrost at the Freeport, and Riemann was rushed to Medical.

Riemann regained consciousness an hour after the episode, and is currently confined to medical quarantine pending a more detailed inspection.

Given the potential for cognitohazardous contamination, all black box recordings save for rigorously screened guncam photos have been redacted.

Attention:

I know the impression left on us all this weekend was that of a failure, but take some solace in knowing that it might not have been a complete failure.

Let's take a look at the outcomes, I have been receiving communication logs from survivors that ejected from the R.N.C-Kolleda, it seems that NEUROTOXIN was fired inadvertently just before evacuation. The trajectory of the plasma stream is unknown, as is whether or not contact was made with Valhalla Shipyard. But there's something better to note from all of this.

I anticipated the Dragon's Egg would consume the Kolleda upon firing at full power, in fact, I was almost certain. I kept this plan in action for a variety of reasons:

  • NOTE: As of right now the Kolleda is not completely in pieces, but the ship has taken a significant beating. With the alien garrison from Valhalla annihilated in the aftermath, salvaging the warship will be a simple task.
  • NEUROTOXIN could not be allowed to be taken, or duplicated by anyone. It wouldn't be possible without the right parts, or people I suppose. But still, a derivative of the weapon could be just as dangerous. Making this a "one-off" scenario was necessary to keep our enemies from attempting to replicate such a lethal design.
  • The Dragon's Egg has attracted the attention of various parties as well, the dangers alien technology of that scale poses even under our control could be catastrophic. I decided it was best to direct the catastrophe at something that would ultimately work to our benefit while keeping our enemies away in the process.

The battle - to everyone - appears to be lost.

But this is not the case.

Keep this information to BDM| personnel only, I will speak with the Defense Ministry and the Rheinland Military High Command about our next move. If we can have the towing vessels on scene move the warship into position - we can make a second shot.

For Rheinland.

AFTER ACTION REPORT: OMICRON KAPPA

The Bifrost has recieved telemetry from U-33. The unit was on scheduled patrol of Omicron Kappa when it encountered a lone Corsair Gunboat in the nebula. To avoid the potential for the drawing of unwanted attention, the corsair vessel was quickly dispatched. Weakening of the shielding around the U-33 resulted in a degree of radiation damage determined unsuitable for extended operations, so the U-33 returned to base.

Expedition Report

This is Hauptkommissar Baldur Schmidt reporting. We had been given orders from Direktor Viper, to retrieve a dark matter core from an organization known as the Starfliers. Once I reached the Inverness system, I was greeted by '\S/'Velorum, who readily agreed to transfer the dark matter core to the Heidelberg.

The return trip went smoothy, and no complications were encountered upon arrival at AESIR. The analysis of the dark matter core will commence once preparations have been made to store the core in a safe container.

Extended Operations Report

Routine patrol, I saw a ship, identification (=)"Civil:Servant" enter the Westerwald. I visually identified the ship as a gunboat despite being outside targeting range, and quickly switched ships on the Carrier Saar to something more maneuverable and suited to escape before continuing after the target. Within Thuringia, around Planet Gotha, some form of alien was alongside another gunboat, identification (=)"Seven-of-Swords". I maintained distance due to protocol. Two other Bundschuh, identification Rheinfalke and (=)Lancette entered Thuringia. All three held peaceful conversation with the alien, which matches the Direktor's reported criteria for the alien "Harbinger", doubly so considering the drone it dispatched. Whatever kind of missile it fired disabled my guncam. Audio recordings remained intact, and salvaged guncam images have been included.

I received on-site orders to not engage the Bundschuh as per a set of internal protocols. As per the encounters herein outlined, I formally request those protocols be reconsidered, if not amended or rescinded.

Afterwards, I accompanied Direktor Viper as security detail. I disclude details from that in this report as I was an ancillary addition, and reporting it is more suited to a primarily involved agent.

Escort mission

Today we moved out from Sector-7 to guide a asset belonging to -redacted- back to the facilities. I was not told why, but the mission went well. I was tasked with observing the perimeter. A freelancer by the callsign "Lazurith" was spotted in the Cologne system. Piloting a Falchion. They came from the direction of Heisenberg Research station, and went directly to Hamburg via the jump-hole. Further investigation was not necessary, as such i moved back to observation duty.

I also intercepted a Kruger vessel, coming uncomfortably close to our main forces. He never saw what was going on, and as such was allowed to proceed after being held up for a brief moment.

Other then this, there were no further incidents to mention. The operation was a success.
