Our patrol in Tau-29 encountered a civilian freighter being harassed by two Golden Chrysanthemums who ran to hide aboard the Freeport at the first sight of our ships. After the freighter refused to comply with our demands we were left with no choice but to destroy the ship and salvage what weapons we could and taking them back to the Resurgent. Cavalier Paris and I provided security for the meeting between Maréchal Laroux and the Rear Admiral Asmodeus. The meeting took place without any major incidents besides the Outworlder transport (Maroon.Whale) and the Freelancer(Nymph-[Fae) who flew into the vicinity. Both of these intruders were escorted away without further incident. After the meeting concluded, the Insurgency warship left the area as we returned back to the Resurgent.

- 2 points per kill against non-capital ships, or 5 points per kill against capital ships (cruisers, battlecruisers, battleships).
- A TAZ Bustard, if such a thing exists, counts as 3 points when killed.

Pursuant to a recent opération spéciale passed down from the Force d'Intervention, Maréchal des Logis Le Meingre and I conducted a sweep of Baffin. He has recently been reassigned from our forces in the Gallic core systems, and I caught him up on changes in our operations.
We located bases distantly on our scanners, but detected very little traffic. Perhaps the TAZ are in hiding after Maréchal Laroux's reply.
No casualties to report, although Le Meingre's Cougar was scheduled for hull overhaul and transponder repair, due to previously deferred maintenance.

I conducted a routine patrol of the Baffin system on August 24, 746 AGS, captaining the VCF Surveillance. While on duty, I encountered one of the Temporary Autonomous Zoners' battleships, the [TAZ]Persephone. The captain of said ship immediately asked for me to leave, as usual with their supposed "claims" to the system.

Due to the TAZ's arrogance and refusal to support our authority, I engaged the Persephone, though it took a while to damage its hull. Eventually, despite their constant taunts, the Persephone ran to Shasta Orbital Skyhook where it docked. I patrolled the system for another hour and there were no more TAZ vessels within scanner range, so I concluded my patrol.

For his diligent efforts during Project Rayonnement, Francois Pierre is hereby awarded the first prize of the Operation: Free Pirating Zone.
The success of Project Rayonnement will allow us to monitor Zoner dissidents closely and continue our acquisition of resources in the region. Keep up the good work.

Project Rayonnement, or perhaps Rayonnement Station, is operational and self-sustaining. We have detected ships in scanning range, but their owners are either too timid or uninterested to challenge us. I will ensure Lieutenant Pierre receives his compensation.
Our communications monitoring has turned up... well, propaganda, it seems. The native cultists have multiple broadcast channels dedicated to religious messaging. I found myself thinking the other day that we must be the "Golden Worm" inside their "Golden Apple Corps", and I had to ask our communications technicians to do their listening with headsets. It is equal parts infectious and obnoxious, and so I have altered the radio communications monitoring shifts to be so short as to avoid overexposing our crew.
Fortunately, we have recordings of the Royal Symphony Orchestra to allow them to decompress.
I will keep you apprised of any abnormal crew behaviors that result from our situation, but as of yet, there is no apparent danger.

It's been a pleasure to receive such a commendation for the success of Project Rayonnement. As a Lieutenant, I truly believe my contribution has been invaluable towards pacifying the Baffin system and restoring order in the operational zone. The religious cult seems to have, for the most part, withered away, their golden apple becoming rotten as they can only make empty threats.
As previously mentioned by our new provost of the region, Amélie Chevalier, cultist propaganda has been a concern for our crewmembers. Fortunately, I have found a way to position Royal Symphony Orchestra and Truth of Gallia near suspected cultist frequencies, hopefully to jam out and eventually render them into irrelevancy while also expanding our programming to cover other inhabitants of the system. This will help keep our morale high and promote proper authority.
