I have too agree

I expect an increase in IMG ships coming from Gallia with the tobacco to New York and back with the Neon!

Completely in keeping with what you would expect too see from an Independent Miner!

ok so lemme get this straight now you nerf zoner id to cut back powertraders which you know wil lmove to house corps anyway ok thats good

but you see there is a slight flaw to that mentality

THE SAME CRAP QWITH ZONER GUARD WHALES WIL LHAPPEN IN HOUSE SPACE so then by said above mentality you would make a rule that does much the same for said img or cryer or planretform or synth or in other words

YOUR NOT FIXING THE PROBLEM JUST BRUSHING IT ASIDE

What this just did is shift the powertraders from Zoners to Corporations. I already know of a few Zoners who are ditching the Whale in favor of Corp 5k transports.

Oh, yes it did/does. A lot of factionalized pirates left zoners alone, because they used their bases sometimes.

I think this is for the good on the real zoners out there. The powertraders were just smearing the zoners name.

So now, someone tell me a good In-RP route - That makes big money?

I'm sure you're happy that Zoner population will be reduced to a fraction of what it was. Those Zoners that will remain are those that have always been true to Zoner RP and their gaming is now seriously handicapped.

Half of the Omegas/Omicrons are dead now as a result of Zoner trade routes being eliminated. O-49 is ghost town due to the field disappearing and the Organ-Deut run losing 30% profit. Zoners used to carry goods from Zoner stations to House stations and bring goods back to Freeports. Now that can't be done with Zone Guard IDs and those routes that remain between Freeports have become rather useless when you compare the profit that House Corp routes make.

Zoners never were supposed to be the biggest faction out there I would guess. They were the outsiders, the fraction of the overall Sirius population. Not like this mammoth thing they became because of the trade perks in the earlier version.

And you are right, the power-traders will flood to the house corps. And that is good in my books. Like pipboy said it's much stricter rules for the house traders, better control, and yes. They are now FORCED to roleplay and open their mouths. Just by flying they will generate life to the core systems.

I'm glad this is happening, if you count the ships people have, at least 50% of people has at least one zoner trader. What brings Zoner population higher than 3 houses. Right.
I'm glad that guard ID stops you, and if you were upset (alot) by this fact, get a zoner regular ID, and trade in a smaller transport. That is, unless you're upset only because your perfect routes that were oorp were shot down. No more neutrality for all, go and join the factions.
Get in trouble with enemies of that faction.
Get in good with friends of the faction and learn how hard was it for a hardcore corporate trader who traded entire time trough.. lets say Liberty, enjoying occasional completely safe route while you enjoyed your neutrality.
I dont think a single true zoner roleplayer complained, and I'm glad. Others can just go and cry, earn your cap mkv8 for your third outcast gunboat the hard hard way.

wrong powerttraders to this day stil ldont say anything to say TWO LABCS AT A CERTIN GATE(zone 21) all this does is smear whatever house corp they flock to and lure there 10mill or die pirate counterparts with them so what do hopuses get,hmm indieds=screwed either way faction or not because there id is smered by powertraders house militarys/police= nothing but an even worse pvpwhore problem from pirates all this did was move the problem into another factions turf what we can hope this does though

is have said powertraders flock to al lhouses at least semi equall because personally liberty is at its max you cant move down a single ring without hitting a transport mabye kusari wil lget 9alltho an unwelcome type)of love

edit: powertraders and " i no spak inglish" traders is what we wil lhave to deal with unless sadly we force people to pick factions and said factions become uberstrict on the english only rule(roleplay greetings ,ie french spanish japanese ectra)aside

ofcourse to do that the admins would prolly hav to instakick anybody who dident speak at least basic englishand i know alot of people who have problems with it but stil lcan roleplay

Powertraders or not, this gets people to actually pick a role that needs to be picked. Corporations need bodies, plain and simple.

As for me, I'll continue to run freight between Junker bases in my 3350 cargo salvage frigate. I've made enough cash to be happy as a Junker running in-RP routes. I'm not bragging such numbers as 30 mil in an hour as I tend to avoid tradelanes even when running legal goods between non-embargoed houses, but I make do. And I like my habit of not-quite-smuggling.

It also makes the local police forces a bit batty.

BPA guy: "You right there by the jumphole! Stop your ship!"
Me: "Okay."
BPA guy: "Where did you get these engine components?"
Me: "Kreuzberg."
BPA guy: "Where are they going?"
Me: "Trafalgar."
BPA: "Why did you take the jumpholes?"
Me: "Felt like it."

I see this whole thing as a mixed blessing really. I get stuck with a smaller trading vessel, but at least it's armed.

I get to run an ok rp route with little or no interference.

I'll get that cap 8 / dream ship eventually, but it will take a bit longer.

And now for the rantish portion of this reply:

The amount of schadenfreude on this and similar threads is both comical in scope and disgusting in tone. Before I was only suspicious, but now I'm convinced - some of you folks have some real control issues.

I'm a bit put off by other players, regardless of faction, dictating to me the terms of my own rp: "Zoners hate the houses... Zoners make too much money... The vanilla info card says this... ad nauseum. So, when you and enough people say it is so, it becomes the gold standard of truth? Guess so.

Apparently, as of now, Zoners are an anarchistic, virulently anti-establishment group of space hippies, who have taken a vow of poverty. Yeah, a hyperbole, but not too off the mark, judging from some of the comments on how Zoner rp should be.

I guess I failed so much at being a Zoner, whose occupation is to make money for his faction (let the npcs haul water and oxygen on a regular basis - that's what they're there for), that I and others like me have to be spoon-fed our own rp. Oh, the shame.

News flash: The much maligned "powertraders" are just going to go elsewhere. Basic reason: The bigger ships and top notch equipment are expensive. For a server that wants to promote rp, the elements of grind are oddly dominate. The mantra "We'll be able to control the powertraders' rp better if they're doing the corporate routes" is naive, at best. Good luck with that one.

@Ivan: I wonder how many players have a Corsair character on the side? Is the population of Corsairs too large in comparison to the rest of the criminal houses in Sirius? In comparison to lawful factions? If the community thinks that the Corsairs have too many active players can we expect a culling? A ZOI nerfing?

And, by the way, Zoners are neutral. That's their rp. Which, incidentally, does not protect them from players pirating them, but you knew that. Does neutrality with npcs really bother you that much?

Well, enough from me here. I am off to enjoy my neutrality on a new, tranquil route.
