Dublin Zones of Control/Sovereignity Discussion - Dart - 02-11-2011 ' Wrote:BMM have access to a BAF battleship if they want to hide. Just don't complain when position ourselves so that the Essex shoots through you.legally they dont and BMM doesnt have access to the fancy capships IMG has and IMG has their own battleship to protect thier operations Dublin Zones of Control/Sovereignity Discussion - Ayem - 02-11-2011 In Dublin, yes. And BMM use the Essex. I don't care whether it's legal or not, you still use it. I had to nova some capviii nutjob into docking with it yesterday. Dublin Zones of Control/Sovereignity Discussion - AeternusDoleo - 02-11-2011 ' Wrote:The point is I was lucky but the pirates can do that, so you can definatly say graves is under powered for protecting miners.IMG's said the same thing about Java for ages. Unlawfuls simply don't respect bases that can't vaporise them in seconds. Suggested solution: Heavy upgrade to that ring of defensive turrets - For each turret: change the missile to basic cruiser, change the turrets to cruiser pulse and a Solaris turret. With a ring of that around Graves I reckon the unlawfuls will keep clear of it. ' Wrote:legally they dontWhich doesn't help in Dublin since the BAF indicated to shoot any IMG caps in Dublin on sight. And we can't exactly go to war with the BAF, now can we?;) Tauside the caps are a great help, but their ZOI doesn't really include Dublin. Dublin Zones of Control/Sovereignity Discussion - Dart - 02-11-2011 ' Wrote:In Dublin, yes.we only use it to run from pirates, legally we aren't allowed to use it [as a trading conduit]. stop making an excuse about OOC things when this is mostly an RP-based discussion! as for the nova dude, was he wearing a bMM- tag? You're trying to.. what, get a new battleship called Graves? I'll look forward to encouraging a few friendly fire accidents with it then. When you see pirates coming for graves -dock- your miners, and get out your fighters/gunboats. Hanging around outside a base isn't safe -even- at Essex. I meant to say that it was an unfair example Quote:I'll look forward to encouraging a few friendly fire accidents with it then. You are more than welcome to. Quote:When you see pirates coming for graves -dock- your miners, and get out your fighters/gunboats.BMM doesn't have funboats.... Quote:Hanging around outside a base isn't safe -even- at Essex. It stops being from getting insta pirated the moment they undock Dublin Zones of Control/Sovereignity Discussion - AeternusDoleo - 02-11-2011 If BMM needed funboats, I reckon a request to the BAF would be sufficient. Worked for Kruger/Daumann in obtaining RM hardware, should work for BMM as well. But funboats tend to die fast when facing a fighterswarm - and the BAF boat is a big target. As for instapirating - Do you really have unlawfuls hanging outside of Graves waiting for people to undock? If so, consider placing a solaris heavy HMS cap alt cloaked above Graves, to give those guys a nice little surprise. /setmsg 1 "Allright chaps, looks like these ruffians are enjoying the Graves hospitality. Let's make them feel at home with the mines." People who camp bases have no reason whatsoever to complain about being ganked. Corporate requests to the BAF are taking a while to process of late. :) Dublin Zones of Control/Sovereignity Discussion - Eichann Rush - 02-11-2011 I fully support the BMM's use of BAF gunboats as escorts. This is a great idea, and you should use them all the time, and almost exclusively. Dacites and fighters are totally overrated. But really, no, thats a bad idea. BAF gunboats are ridiculously easy to kill in a Bargie or a Rogueboat. Ridiculously easy. I would rather fight a pair of cap8 bafboats than a cap8 hege.
