So that's not a difference. Yeah, his statement wasn't totally accurate. If anything the Reavers and MM are polar opposites with a mutual outlook in Liberty. Which I think might have struck a little closer to the heart of the matter.Ah cool. I've got a way better picture now. Though one last question. Personally, i like to live in fights. I don't mind dieing but i like to live. So lets say I'm fighting the LN or whoever. And they pay you 5 mil to take me out. Then i say I'll pay you 6 mil to take them out instead and they don't raise their price. What would be your standard response to this? Reaver Mercenary Co. - Dusty Lens - 03-02-2011 ' Wrote:Ah cool. I've got a way better picture now. The forum ate my original reply. So this one will be shorter. In short. Yesish. Your six million isn't worth as much as working in Liberty. So we wont fire on the officer. Your six million is worth more than the five million we would get for killing you. But it might be worth more to us to kill you in order to satisfy another objective, such as bagging X targets for Y stuff. But maybe we don't feel like killing you. Or the fight seems unfair. Chances are craftyness will result in not needing to worry about the merc. Or maybe not. Maybe. Here's two stories. A merc is working in O-7. His contract is to murdersauce Kurger. He chances upon said Kruger and has a nice little back and forth with him. Seems this Kurger isn't a bad chap, just a guy getting by in life. Before he dies this Kruger happened to have jettisoned his Ore just a short distance away from the explosion and "someone" was able to come by and pick it up about a minute later. Not saying it was the Kruger guy because that would be a violation of some line in a contract. Not saying the "merc" made an extra two million on top of the kill bounty for sparing the guy's loot. So I guess we can ignore that story. Because it certainly never happened. Then we have another Kruger guy after the kill contract was over. He's a bit of a pud and has no armor atop his fat fat ore cargo. Gosh what a tasty treat. But no bounty, no kill. But, lo, should a Junker wander by in a p-trans who has a mean sounding name. The Merc promises to help this Junker nail the Kruger guy and walk off with the loot. The Junker initiates piracy, this act is recorded to satisfy a bounty on Junkers doing illegal things. This Junker, by virtue of pirating, has suddenly become a valid target by virtue of the documented proof now collected. Moments later the Kruger is killed and its ore scooped up by the thankful Junker, who turns to the merc to thank him. Moments later the Junker's loot is being scooped up by the merc who just splashed a mean 'ol nasty pirate Junker, doing the world a favor and making himself richer for a kill and the loot. Not saying that happened either. That would be -mean-. Just some slices of the experience pie. Edit: Also we would never accept 200 million to stop shooting someone and then keep shooting them anyways because they'll never hire us and everyone hates them. Ever. That would also be mean. Reaver Mercenary Co. - Death.RunningVerminator - 03-02-2011 Awesome. So you're smart bloodthirsty mercs? Very nice very nice indeed. See that, actually, reminds me of some of the stuff i used to do when i first joined. One guy goes, "lets kill that dude" we kill him, and i'm like, "now for your turn" xD Well coolio then! Fare thee well friend, but don't think for a second you'll be able to pull those kinds of tricks on me. EDIT: In fact that reminds me of another time! So ya once this one guy was like- Aw forget it no one wants to hear me ramble.:D Reaver Mercenary Co. - Chenzo- - 03-02-2011 My opinion of the reavers is mixed.. From personal experience with them, mostly bad, but that is only because of certain idiotic members of the faction. The factions motives are simple, "blast the hell out of anything and everything". No matter what people say here, this faction will get what it wants due to it's connections. There are some good members within the faction and I genuinly enjoyed some of those interactions. Every faction has it's good apples and it's bad ones, however this time unfortunatly for me I feel it's mostly bad and no matter how good a faction write up is, if the people "roleplaying" it are only interested in ruining others experiences like this one, not much good can from it. As for the faction itself here, it's alright, however it will only be a "kill everything" faction due to it's members. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you have an issue with some of the people in the Reavers. While I feel that fostering stronger interpersonal connections can alleviate, if not totally eliminate, such issues I'm not sure if we're going to have a common ground to work through based on past experiences and present perceptions. Reaver Mercenary Co. - Dieter Schprokets - 03-02-2011 500 Mill taken from Hellbound. and given to MM~Armoury. I kid, I kid. I did take the money though. And yellow is my colour for this. Why not, I use it for everything else. Reaver Mercenary Co. - Dusty Lens - 03-02-2011 Nice job guys. 92 replies and 2354 views in 24 hours. A new record for official faction requests!
