a titan with 8 guns is something to test. personally, i believe that its too strong. but then - an extra 2 guns may very well deplete its overlarge powersource quickly.
i d go the way the corsairs in a roleplayway went. - they made a ship with extremely strong armor and protection. so maybe let it equip a low freighter shield 20k or so - and an extra 3 or 4 armor, while maintaing its other weaknesses.
if compared to the sabre, it might be too strong though. - the sabre will be a good, but conversativly build VHF, while the titan would be something like a light gunboat. then imagine a groupfight ... 3 titans with 24 guns are a lot stronger than 3 sabres with only 18 guns.
but its up to test it with pilots of equal skills. both on low and high skill level.

I dunno, its like a Spatial vs a Eagle... despite the fact that three Spatials have 6 guns and three turrets, and the capibility to fire a Nova torpedo, you know from the get-go which one is gonna win, provided they play smart...
I think the freighter shield is too much.. The Titan is big, but its not in the same league as the Barghest in terms of size.
Perhaps two extra guns... maybe... would certainly make it more appealing, and less of our job to tell a Corsair Wrath (yeah, I saw one) to dock and buy a Titan.

Freighter shield is a big no.
Now that would be an overkill.
Pipsqueak, I can turn faster without using engine kill then with using engine kill.
That's my point.
Most people can do this as well.
I use engine kill 1vs1 if I have a worse agility ship then my rival.
In group fights, I only use it to fill my thruster (I'm mainly using Advanced Thruster, so I have some troubles with it), or against good mine users.
I use it all the time on my bomber, sliding around. But that's a different story, since Bombers are less agile.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who avoids using e-kill a lot, right?
Also, ever tried using e-kill on a Dagger in Asteroid field? It's very deadly;)

OK not to destroy the discussion so I will mention it only once.
Void has a version of Titan that has 8 guns. Sold on Monkey Planet. 4 on each wing.
Any how I was thinking more like two Turrets (one on the T on each wing) that can fire forward and back..

Imagine this thing to be a Titan and add turrets on each wing where the T are. Let them rotate 360 on their axis firing angle of 30 degrees.
Advantage 8 forward firing / 3 rear firing Weapons. Trust me having 3 rear firing guns is not a big advantage against a saber.

with another 2 guns, it will be too strong i think. for example my current loadout which has 2 tizonas as shieldbuters +4 other guns can destroy enemy vhf shield realy fast, and when i buy another 2 rapiers (another 400 shield damage,4 refire) i can destroy enemy VHF shield in the first front fly (when enemies first time fly to each other) and then are here still 4 guns for hull. that will be not ok i think.

Saber straffes like crazy head on. Besides why would you attack a titan head on any way ?
After the first pass, a saber can own titan, if both pilots are equally good.
Remember, a Saber is coming at you with 7 guns already!!!!! + possibly an inferno cannon.
Possibly, you lose you shield at first shot... the rest is all gravy!!!!!!

that is true pipsquek i forgto the inferno and the 7 forward firing guns.
i will from titan better ship as it is now,but not teh best. because now when you will fly in titan and survive in fights,you must really have big practice in it ( and i still have not enough practice to survive:) ) but that is something that make from titan unique ship. when it will be slow as now but without insant kill from torpedo or mine,then it will be good for me:)

Well, Global, you can mount 4 shieldbusters on Raven Claw as well.
Titan wouldn't be the first.
And you shouldn't keep the tizonas, just mount 2 rapiers, and 6 hull busters.
Trust me, it will hurt.
