Unless Serval used Thruster and EK to flee, the other person was maintaining the engagement, since Serval lost the engagement the moment he engaged cruise. At that point, the victor has every right to pursue Serval using any means necessary. Thus, Serval is perfectly within bounds of the rules to turn around and fire a CD. EDIT: Why is this thread nearly 11 pages now? Read the rules. If it isn't crystal clear, don't do it. There's no point in going around, looking for loopholes or exemptions.
