RE: Staff Feedback Thread - HonourWolf - 06-09-2025 --------------- RE: Staff Feedback Thread - Luke. - 06-09-2025 Good morning, fellas. First of all, thank you for the honest feedback. We appreciate any and all sent our way, whether toward individuals or the staff team as a whole. To address an elephant in the room quickly because I feel it's paramount that we acknowledge issues - yes, a couple of sanctions have taken too long to process recently. This is being actively discussed to ensure increased efficiency going forward. I mention this myself because it is an objective problem, and it's important to admit shortcomings. We are also acutely aware that the relationship between staff and some of the community is not the best, and it is a constant topic of discussion. We do take it seriously. I can point to the fact that new recruits are being brought in (like myself), in order to populate and push things forward, and this has resulted in higher workload for the already existing staff. It does involve a lot more than just VRs. Secondly, I will not speak on behalf of Petitioner here, but I will say that it's important to distinguish between memes on the forum, and memes in game. The forum is an OOC environment and therefore memes are allowed. This is very different from the game server, an IC environment, where meme names, speech etc. are disallowed and not to be used. Staff do not do this either. I would argue that the sanction referring to the 1st faction members ship deletion is not a meme, but rather a lighter-hearted way to get a point across. It's not mockery or a middle-finger of some sort. If you feel unprofessional behaviour is occurring then you're within your right to bring that up and we'll take it into consideration, though it is only meant to describe what has occurred as the result of a rule-break. Lastly, if you feel someone has broken the rules, then please report them. Every VR is read, discussed etc. to ensure proper action. Do we make mistakes? Absolutely. It happens. We are not infallible. However, we cannot be everywhere at once. We action what we see, and what is brought to us if evidence is sufficient. If you see something we don't, we ask that you make us aware of it via the proper channels a.k.a the report system. We are not singling people out, and we are not acting with bias. We are simply acting upon what is brought to us in-line with the rules. Certain people may be brought up more than others in VRs, and if the playerbase is noticing more problems coming from certain individuals or groups, then maybe there is a reason for that. However, we do not act on malicious reports or those that lack any real evidence of sanctionable behaviour. It's important to consider what is not successfully processed, as well as what is (the ones you see). Once again, thank you for your constructive feedback. Please keep it coming. RE: Staff Feedback Thread - HonourWolf - 06-09-2025 ------------ RE: Staff Feedback Thread - vladimir26 - 06-09-2025 Well, this is what a professional approach looks like. Kudos, buddy. To follow up on your ideas, allow me to drop some thoughts: - while it is good to consider each VR in particular, try not to overthink it. This will eventually lead to bias ideas brewing, and you can't really counter them with integrity assurances, as you guys are doing so far. You need to drop facts; - while it's good to welcome new staff, consider revoking some as well. Feels like once you get the role, it's yours for eternity, unless you voluntarily resign. Refreshing the staff can increase your overall confidence; - about your encouragement to file VRs, well, I'm sure people do, but as mentioned above, only partial effects are visible; - about Petitioner, I also can't speak on behalf of others, but the least you guys can do is to ask him kindly to rework his vocabulary, or refrain from posting staff topics himself. I'm sure that a solid approach, like yours for example, will lead to less resentment from the offenders or other non involved witnesses like myself. Cheers for your time, buddy! Looking forward to better days. RE: Staff Feedback Thread - Lemon - 06-09-2025 (06-09-2025, 09:08 AM)Luke. Wrote: Good morning, fellas. You being only a mod when you communicate this way and Petitioner being an admin is frankly egregious. We just need a new St.Denis to rise - the way admins treat the community has been egregious since his departure ![]() RE: Staff Feedback Thread - Lord Caedus - 06-09-2025 You have to be a certain kind of delusional to see a group of people that are getting hit with repeated sanctions and come to the conclusion that the issue is with the staff singling those people out and not with the people getting sanctioned repeatedly failing to learn that they need to change the way they act. Or that staff deciding to actually enforce the rules is somehow them acting in bad faith, when it's just the staff acting exactly how they're supposed to be. Or that staff not sanctioning people that haven't had a VR filed against them is somehow a fault of the staff. Or that staff posting sanction notices are the only staff member acting on that, and that said sanction hasn't passed a vote, and that sometimes staff members actually post sanctions that they don't even agree with. This was reported 3 months ago, not only has it not been processed the EGREGIOUS Fartmin @Petitioner pmed the guy to send me some half assed non-apology just to avoid a ban ![]() That is egregiously unacceptable and it's clear VRs against certain people are being "processed" egregiously faster than others. P.S people who take 14 types of drugs a day and can't manage their own life shouldn't be in position to manage a community such as this, just my 2 cents. RE: Staff Feedback Thread - Haste - 06-09-2025 I'm going to lock this thread for a little bit so everyone can spend a few minutes of their time on a great video like this one. RE: Staff Feedback Thread - Luke. - 06-13-2025 Now that the jets are back to room temperature, thread unlocked. Please let cooler heads prevail. RE: Staff Feedback Thread - TheKusari - 06-13-2025 Pulling the curtain away a bit, I will say that select threads I had created within the staff subforums when I was last a green was (mostly) ignored.
I'm not one to single people out on this thread, as some other community members have been. I just hope that shit improves because I honestly don't like what I see. |
