If I use the mod manager to uninstall 4.85, can I then put 4.86 on, or do I actually have to completely uninstall freelancer, then re-install it first?
Best to use a clean install of Freelancer, installed directly from a disc or another source.
You may find unexpected issues with using the method you said.
Worth a shot anyway.
