''Oh. I worked for DSE a while ago, then a friend offered me a place in BMF as a Pilot, so I took it to be closer to my family. After a while the company sent me to University to study Law and now I'm the legal officer. Nothing special really.''

She chuckles. "I'd say that's special. You must've made quite a bit of profit from those jobs.," she said. A bartender walked near the table. "Excuse me, sir. May I have another Liberty Ale, thank you." He walked off, and she turned back to William, and smiled. "Now, where were we?"

He had half a mind to object to her drinking, but given that he had also been drinking, he thought it best to say nothing for now.

She sorta shifts in her seat, ready to tell a story. Well, I might as well, she thought. "Well I was born on Perth Station in 793 A.S. And well, my parents weren't quite the richest lot, you see. We—" she starts to laugh. "They well, um, they—" she laughs more. "Had me inside a storage compartment on Perth. They were stowaways, but paid some cash to the janitorial staff so that they wouldn't rat us out," she finished, still smiling. "Then we moved shortly after, since my father got a job on Leeds in a ship manufacturing company. My mother didn't get a job until a lot later. But anyhow," she said, sighed, and continued. "I grew up on Leeds. Gastly place, if I may say!" she laughs. "The smoke, and the grime. Not my kind of place. But I didn't have much of a choice, I was young." The bartender brought the ale over and she paid him for it right then and there. She took a small sip.

"Well, about four years ago my father found work with a Daumann Heavy Construction rep. And ever since he's been working there, trading in the Omega's. Well at first I tried to apply to DHC for escort jobs, but I had no flight experience, so they rejected me," she replied. "He wasn't mad, in fact, he was glad that I made it into the BMF, because for so long I didn't actually have a job," she said, chuckling.

"Well, thank you," she replied, not looking at him. She blushed a little. "My mother now works for a law firm in Liberty, since she was born there," she said. "My father doesn't speak Rheinlandic very well. He's learning it, and has some sentences down." She took a sip of Ale, then set the drink aside. "I'm done with that for the day," she interjected. Hope I didn't drink too much, she thought.

He was glad she stopped drinking. ''It's a hard language to learn'' he said ''For example Ich glaube du bist sehr hübsch. Few people out side of Rheinland speak it, its a pretty language in my opinion.'' He lent back in his chair and looked at her, indeed she was most pretty. ''So, if I may ask, anyone else after your past Boyfriend?''
He knew how that sounded, he'd asked Edith the same thing. He tried not to get the two confused and wanted to avoid any sort of 'love triangle' but even so, his curiosity had gotten the better of him again.

I wonder what he said, she thought. She hoped it was something good, but didn't press it. "Well, after Chad, I never really got with anyone else. Chad was my first and only, but I hope he won't be the last," she replied.
