FIELD TRANSMISSION

I decided to start using my holidays at the shipyard so that I can get out more. What a good decision!

There were almost too many things for me to say here. I guess I should at least say them in order.

First there was an incident at Hannover that resulted in my ship being towed to Wedel. I unfortunately had to use nearly my entire stock of scrap and spare parts to get the hull sealed up again, but even so, I know what I'm doing, and we were back up and running in relatively short time.

We then went deep into the Walker, where things almost immediately became interesting.

There were tons of Hess, among others, shooting at our group in nearly each system except the furthest three which were desolate. Those last three were absolutely breathtaking, though for different reasons.

Omega-2 was vast and, as far as I can tell, completely devoid of activity. Though we did meet an explorer and another sentient ship here. Man, I would love to get my hands on one of them. I wonder if they would let me study them? Without hurting them of course! I want to go back and find them or one of their other units.

We followed them into Omega-97, another breathtaking sight, but a completely different system from 2. It was claustrophobic and full of radiation, dust, electricity, anomalies... I may have had a few close calls while trying to keep up with the AI, but luckily for everyone with me, I am good at flying the ships that I build myself.

After some dodging and weaving, and admittedly testing the modifications to my shields a few times(they held up well, by the way), we reached another jumphole that lead us into the Fischer-1171 system. Literally right on the edge of the accretion disc! One of the planets was being torn apart, exposing an unbelievable amount of highly valuable resources. Luckily there was a mining laser mounted on the Keimbombe. I didn't collect much, but I have already convinced myself to return in the near future, and will likely visit the broken planet again.

And then our friends on the way back...

I must have scraped that star corona to get away from those guys. I had to push the shield harmonic reinforcing generators to 112% duty cycle, and my hull took some damage, but the crew were unaffected and the Keimbombe made it out alive thanks to you(and my skills as a pilot, of course!). The interesting matter we picked up has been safely brought home. The dock workers insisted I give it to them and that it's "worthless," but I'm not as dumb as I look. I'm keeping it safe for now.

One day, I'll go back and I'll build a house out there. It will be good. We will have Grillgerichte and Bier, and we will laugh as we talk about the time the Unioners charted a system!

Please come home. I am waiting for you. With Bier!
