Just a question, it crossed my mind... What about those 'empty' things lots of us happen to end up after they buy/re-buy a larger ship, for example when the trains and Battleships are bought and you already had a battleship or so and you end up with a few of those 'empty items' that are only seen in the 'trade' screen? They do disappear when you die. that's relatively easy solvable. Could those be the reason for lag? Also, quite some servers limit the number of items on a single char to 90-100 because it supposedly may cause lag and account corruption? My storages hold items near that number, I'm sure many other people's storages hold that much too, I'll count my stuff. 4.81 Main Features - marauder - 09-15-2006 I've been on a server where your only allowed 100 items in your hold that aren't equipped or mounted. After you pass that they'd be automatically wiped off that character by the server. 4.81 Main Features - Demo - 09-18-2006 im not happy with the idea of removing the anti cap ship weps like nova and mortar weps because if youre in an alliance or youre just flying trough an border system and youre in fight with a Battleship or something you need to have a chance if you dont got a chance the game will not be fun anymore because everyone will get cap ships so that no one buys fighters anymore this is my opinion Greetz Demo 4.81 Main Features - marauder - 09-18-2006 Everyone won't be buying just capships, try taking a Bstar, rhienland Bs, Outcast dreadnought, kusari BS through the gamma asteroid field. Trust me, everyone buying/using only capships is not gonna happen. The rhienland BS can barely move out of the system you buy it, the kusari Bs can get wedged just jumping into gamma (via the unknown JH), I know because I tried it. 4.81 Main Features - Igiss - 09-18-2006 Destructible asteroids is a doubtful concept and it won't be implemented in 4.81. Main reason: immense potential lag because of massive number of destructible objects. Moreover, I suppose that owning a battleship should have its drawbacks. Fighters will have effective anti-battleship weaponry (along with current Inferno). If it won't be exactly effective in 4.81 first beta, it will become better in next releases. 4.81 Main Features - Dab - 09-18-2006 Even with destructible asteroids battleships have a drawback. They must travel at 90 or lower so they can shoot the asteroids in there way, takes just as long, but its easier then bumping around. 4.81 Main Features - Kane - 09-19-2006 Ah well. I'll just have to stick with the lower profile battleships, like the good old Battlestar.
