The Orbitals gave us green light while giving technical info on the ships. We just need to allocate some money and time to it.
Aside from that GMS has mail from me regarding a specific ship of their line of work, "Tournez" is it's name. And we could probably make use of the Aurochs.
Every step goes Sky-ward.

With your communication to Spa & Cruise, I believe it may be best to see if hauling teams on a "Regent"-Tier vessel is appropriate for us. The Sol has been retrofitted for research and development, however the structural flexibility still allows for the major modules to be replaced with quarters, recreational and activity areas akin to standard Liners.
As we are still moored on Baden Baden, I will request the Spa & Cruise teams to exchange the internal modules and attempt to carry passengers. This will be a new experience for me, I will need to hire staff from Spa & Cruise to ensure our new guests are taken care of. The most I will need to make sure is reaching the destination safely and without delay.

Go ahead. I will need to talk to the guys who take care of our hangar before I give an order for OSC small crafts. Having to check if we can accommodate them.
Meanwhile repair is annoyed by all the dust from Tau-23. Told them it's just a matter of time while giving them a bonus out of my own pocket.
I'm still waiting on GMS. Send me a summary of the internal changes for the sol, I want to compare something.

I will have a proposition to make internally soon-ish for a project I am planning to realise or more re-instate from my days prior to being a part of Starfliers. While I am not done with the initial draft, it's worth mentioning that I am planning to grab something from Newport in the Sigmas. The Mirrodin is great for anything not too far in the sticks, the other will accommodate being too far away from any com array. I'm talking about this "Plug-and-play" Junker-ish ship called "Dunlin". Personal funds are already set aside to not weight on the group. More will follow later once the draft is ready.
Aside from that McKenzie mentioned those strange crystals in Tau-23. Keep your eyes open if you spot anything out of the ordinary.
Anything strange can be a problem or a distraction worth mentioning, especially if it's strange formations.

Good evening everyone. It's been a while, and I'll apologize for the lack of communication. With Liberty and Kusari going at each other's throats, it's been quite difficult to operate in the area and I've been held up more than I want to. That, however, leads me to the reason of this message.
I don't think it's a secret that our work, even without considering the countless anomalies, has become rather dangerous. Whether or not it's areas with large spikes of radiation or the increasing amount of conflict zones spread all across the independent systems. What I'm proposing is a mobile HQ similar to the Sol, but more suited for the less well traveled and mapped out areas of Sirius. Perhaps some of you approve of this idea, in which case I'd get into finding a suitable vessel.

Go on, you've got my attention.
Something "more disposable" than the Sol is needed especially in edge and borderworlds. I look forward to your proposal and idea.

I'm glad to see that there's consent with a need for this kind of ship.
I've skimmed through a couple of databases, and I think I've found a decent selection of ships that we could more or less reasonably acquire.
- Bustard Civilian Carrier
It's been a workhorse for a bunch of groups, is rather widely available and definitely has enough space to serve as an HQ and a FOB in the rougher areas. It's definitely far from a cheap purchase, but I doubt we'd be able to get a discount when talking to the right kinds of people. It has plenty of space for additional hangars, a large cargobay to boot and what many have described to be a reliable engine compartment.
- "Sagarmatha"-class IMG Cruiser
I'm not sure if the IMG would willingly let us acquire a ship of such scale. When it comes to radiation shielding there's few ships that would top this one. We wouldn't need to have it refit for extensive radiation protection, which could save money. It's cheaper than the bustard, but smaller in scale and customization options. I think it's reasonable to get into talks with the IMG, I doubt they would outright refuse us - but they will most likely want a big token in return.
- "Fearless"-class Zoner Q-ship
A decent candidate, but perhaps for a different role. It's reliable, comparitively cheap and the Zoners excell at traversing the edges of Sirius. However, it's even smaller in size than the Sagarmatha, so I would suggest keeping an eye on it, but perhaps as a support ship for the Sol or our FOB-to-be. I've seen the Zoners approve use of these kinds of ships outside of their own ranks numeruous times, so I wager we'd have a decent shot at purchasing one off their hands.
- Honorable Mentions
Not a ship specificly, but I suggest at least keeping in mind that military vessels such as the Liberty Navy's "Akhetaten"-class Battlecruiser or Gallia's "Triumph"-class Destroyer. They are known for being second to none when it comes to technological advancements. We'd have to modify them heavily to suit our needs, given that they're built almost entirely for combat, but we'd potentially receive tech that migth allow for new discoveries even in already charted systems. Acquiring one of those will most likely be either flat out impossible, or involve extensive processes of building relations with the respective factions.
Here you have a few suggestions. I'd love to see some input so we can get started with the project rather soon.

A decent list you have there.
While Starfliers has past experience with a bustard we also know how pricey it is to operate one just by fuel and maintenance, not counting acquisition and crew training for a vessel that size.
The "Sagar-something" is that kind of ship sitting near Java right? Well I can see it size wise working but I have no personal experience with it nor do I have ties to the IMG to know input on those.
The "Fearless" is a solid choice. Zoners and Starfliers kind of work hand in hand to some degree for the charting and exploration aspect even if not directly. And is has some unique-ness to it.
Military Craft can be very hard to acquire, even damaged and demilitarised ships are almost impossible to get hold of in a legal way.
The 3 mentions that you gave seem reasonable each in their own way, at least speaking by sizes while each likely has a different standard of maintenance and operation cost.

McRocky is a bit occupied with Paperwork but he send me a ping regarding our diplomatic stance.
I assume he glanced over this communication to throw in some 5 credits on the matter. You're free to see who is open for the talk but I can assure you that some people are less willing to talk to us than others despite our general neutral approach.
