Admin Notice: Anti-F1 changes - Colonel Z.e.r.o. - 07-25-2009 ' Wrote:Zelot raises a good point, when someone F1's, half the time they zoom off faster than you can cruise towards them, and will be far more than 10k away from other players before they depart.Very true, while effective in someways not everyone has the patience to dock at Freeport (insert random number) 150k away with enemies littering the system if they're trying to refresh their connection.. Admin Notice: Anti-F1 changes - Tic - 07-25-2009 Just tried it out in game. I bought 2 guns, mine, cm, shield and 5 different commodities and F1d in front of a friend who was 1k from me. Nothing dropped.(We were not in group.) Admin Notice: Anti-F1 changes - n1kodemus - 07-25-2009 Does this effect shutting down your game trough control panel? Sometimes when I alt-tab to answer my Skype chats and come back in-game, no picture is displayed. I can hear the sounds, move around and do everything normally, except it doesn't display the picture. It's just black and stays like that until I restart the game. I don't do this much, so I wouldn't mind. I'd just like to know whether to answer my Skype chats in the future without shutting down the game or not. Admin Notice: Anti-F1 changes - Guest - 07-25-2009 It doesn't work...tells the person you are F1ining, yes, but the commodities don't drop. And something other that is impiortant: Much of the internet providers have that rule-to stop the connection once in hour in order to stop hosting with normal internet conection without paying for hosting,so when the net stops for 10 sec every hour u ll be dropped and cargo will be lost:rtfm: Admin Notice: Anti-F1 changes - Govedo13 - 07-25-2009 ' Wrote::(:( May be it will be simple to delay departing time to 1 min, so when you use F1 in a battle or to run from pirate u ll be destroyed, but if u just are just dropped or just want to disconect in space no problem!! I never do that if I see someone on scanners, and I stop my vessel when doing it. Just a matter of seconds, usually. But if that would happen, I would come back in ASAP and tell that my game crahed. Admin Notice: Anti-F1 changes - guitarguy - 07-25-2009 In addition to the concerns raised by others, I would like to point out that the very people this system is trying to stop will most likely find a way to exploit it. I think Syndroms mentioned bluebells and missiles causing people to lag out, which could become very problematic in the future, and would likely lead to more rules/mod adjustments. On a positive note, the console message sounds great. Admin Notice: Anti-F1 changes - Baltar - 07-25-2009 @ Cannon: This is an awesome idea. Once implemented and its working effectively, we should look at deleting the F1 rule. This will remove any need for violation reports for F1 and should make admin's jobs a bit easier. Admin Notice: Anti-F1 changes - DAnvilFan - 07-25-2009 I can only imagine the reaction of a weapons trader with 30 Code guns when his connection accidentally drops one day. |
