In regards to piracy - Alex. - 11-15-2009 *sigh* Just go with Cannons suggestion of 1/3 of the cargo and be done with it! As a foreword, I'm a trader and I will talk about pirates vs traders. If you do not want to read all of the following, in short I'll try to show why pirates should raise their taxes, because paradoxically the whole economy and RP could benefit from it. 1.I've said it before and I'll say it again, escorts are not easy to come by. Plus as Elsdragon said even if you have got an escort the pirates will just ignore the escorts and destroy the trader before they escape. I've seen it happen many times. 2.I'll tell you this, try to pirate my trader for 30mil and and theres no chance I'm paying up. And I've never put a bounty on anyone ever. But I'd make an exception for something like this. Also everyone seems to assume a trader will only be pirated once per trip. What with all the pirates on the server thats not alwys the case. So thats another reason why asking for high amounts is not going to work. In regards to piracy - beunt - 11-16-2009 Ok ok, I void all of my arguments. Let's stick to the easy way. Perhaps this time you went to damages, but next time will go into profits. Besides i really doubt that pirates take atelast 20 percent of overal trader income. To engage in buying and selling for profit. 2. To make an exchange of one thing for another. 3. To be offered for sale. 4. To shop or buy regularly. So what you are saying is traders shouldn't make money? but pirates should? So if traders aren't supposed to make money, you tell me the real reason what trading is for then. If your gonna play it this way, I'll fight fire with fire, If traders aren't suppose to make money. THEN WHY DO YOU THINK PIRATES HAVE TO MAKE MONEY? There you go I even put it in caps, in the hope that you might actually understand it, but I doubt that. In regards to piracy - Akura - 11-16-2009 I make 100mil an hour pirating. Even if they have excellent RP on their trader, they're still in it for profit. Remove that profit, and most traders won't cooperate with you. And logos are simple, not fancy. Yes but same goes for piracy. You pirate for profits too as well as for same rp. For cargo or for money. But the idea is the same. I understand that traders want to get rich, yes its the main objective. But sacraficing about 20~50 of your profits isin't that much. You still get money don't you? |
