I really love this thing!
Which leaves the question, will there be a RPC version of it as well?

Any chance the wing tips can still get shortened as asked before? I dislike the fact that it resembles a huge odin so much.

Design esthetics aside, those wings look like they might make traveling through asteroid fields (which tend to be plentiful in the Red Hessian ZOI) a real pain in the gluteous maximus. I like the new look of the cruiser, but it's wise to take into account the nature of the areas it's used in.

Indeed it's not an Odin. However, i'll trimmed them down a bit.

Wings or no wings, this thing will collide to an asteroid when it wants to and give you (or us - whoever buys it) hell like any other capital ship in an asteroid field. A capital ship is not meant to be in large asteroid fields anyways - True Fact! At least - be aware that we don't have that pin-ball technique we had in 4.84. In .85 - we have a kick-back and forward they go again.

It looks awesome.

Actually, I've piloted a cruiser in an asteroid field with minimal problems. True fact! The current Vidar model is shaped more or less like a spearhead. Thus, negotiating asteroid fields isn't an insurmountable problem. Now, if your awesome model is hitboxed to reflect the its profile, the cruiser would seem more liable to "scoop up" asteroids - kind of like how the Corsair Praefect does now. Not cool.

But if you do trim the wings as Blodo suggested, I don't think it would be a problem.

Seems i'm the only one who would like to see the wings and crest to stay.

RHA Heavy Cruiser - Cond0r - 03-21-2011

What Megiddo said. Why would we need wings in space anyway?
