Most people can do this as well.
I use engine kill 1vs1 if I have a worse agility ship then my rival.
In group fights, I only use it to fill my thruster (I'm mainly using Advanced Thruster, so I have some troubles with it), or against good mine users

OK, I may have to bug you online for this one. May be you will teach me something, or may be I will teach you something new.....one of us will come out more knowledgeable than before.

I only use engine kill every now and then, there are faster ways to turn with a ship like the Titan.

personally i think the titan would loose to everything but the RT thats my personal opinion. the sabre/titan fight could go either way depends if the titan is good with explosives or uses them but i did vote sabre.

i have said it to be honest i think there needs to be a Titan mkII or somthing along them lines or a slight increase in stats maybe enough armour to take a torp hit or mine hit. right now the titan is still the only vanilla ship that CAN take a torp or mine hit (if it has full hull and the explosive doesnt hit directly) can survive but i do think it needs to have a good advantage to them compared to others.

minouverability needs maybe a SLIGHT increase not to the point of the sabre but maybe just below.

thats all id say needs to be done. i will and have always said it... for things to be fare id say it needs a slight upgrade

8 guns on Titan? Too many. I say beef up Salamanca as suggested, atm it's just your run-of-the-mill class9.

Why in the name of the google guys do the Corsairs have such an energy efficient weapon when the Titan is prolly has the beefiest power core of all fighters in Sirius?

As Mjonlir said to me, Krakens and Salamanca should be swapped.
Except speed, speed would remain the same on Krakens, maybe improve it for Salamancas?
Don't know.
But Outcasts do need a more energy efficient weapon, while Corsairs need a very strong hull buster.

Nope.

No speed increase for the Sals. I say this for the sake of Corsair FLness and for my good friend Zavier.

Besides, upping the Sal Mk2 to 700 would throw off the sync with the Tizzies.

The Kraken should remain energy inefficient.

What I meant was more like swapping the Salamanca Mk2 with the Molly Trefoil. Both neutron, yet the Trefoil does some 550 damage compared to the Sal doing 490. That's just messed up.

Not to beat down on the Mollys, but I have yet to see one of them mount a Trefoil in significant numbers.

Well, that's not really fair, is it now?

Few simple reasons why.

Compare Trefoil to Kraken.
Kraken does more damage.
Kraken uses less energy.
Kraken has better speed.

Note - It's superior in every way. And those Neutron/Tachyon etc thingies don't apply, simply because people don't use RP shields.

Compare Salamanca to Kraken.
Kraken does more damage.
Kraken uses much more energy.
Kraken has better speed.

Note - Salamanca has one obvious advantage, and two obvious disadvantages.

So, what you'r suggesting is pretty much nerfing Salamancas.
If the salamanca could look something like this :

Kraken does less damage.
Kraken uses less energy.
Kraken has better speed.

Then it would probably be ok.
But giving it bonus of 30 damage for using 50 more energy is just nonsense.
If it's bad, let's improve it, don't destroy it completely.
Mollies use ships with lot of energy, and have only 4 or 5 guns. (Greyhound 4, Werewolf 5)
So, Trefoils are ok for them.
It would be an overkill for Titans, especially mixed with Tizonas/Coladas.

As I said, something like 150 energy for 600 damage would probably be ok, though they would still be a lot weaker then Krakens, simply because Krakens hit more often.

Speed is not that important, yes, it would probably destroy the vanilla feeling of the Corsairs.
But nothing can change the fact that Salamanca's are useless comparing to Code weapons and Blasters/Cannons.
And we do want to see more people using faction guns, instead of bloody blue ugly Nomads and "unique" code weapons.

Allright... so after my first day flying the Titan in 4.84...

I got only 2 training fights and one 2vs2.

so

Titan

- turning and dodging is actually quite ok - I could track Blunt in a Raven's Talon around without problems

-straffing is a problem...it's also very wide so evading mines is not so easy (I used same movements as in Sabre/Wrath/Chimaera and ate two:)) => armor increase so that it can survive one nuke would be nice

- it is very nice gun platform since the 4 lvl 10 slots are really close to each other.. much better than a Sabre or Raven Claw.. even better than a Wrath... though worse than Chimaera.

Corsair weapons

I went to Codenames very fast... Salamancas are really not the guns for Titan.... it has huge powerplant so the energy efficienty is not needed.. while they deal only average damage..

as I said to Chopper I would swap damage and energy used for Salamanca and Kraken...that's not going to happen so leave Kraken as it is and:

Make Salamanca MK III
LVL 10
650 damage
150-200 energy

but remember mjolnir,you are one of the best pilots:)

and salamanca need to stay on current speed. because all corsairs use tizones/coladas and they have the same speed. and when you make salamanca mk3 class 10 then it will be better use code weapons because some of them with 3,03 refore are stronger and need less energy, it will be better to improve the current salamanca mk2
