How to move ship that was docked in Conn?

While some commodities can only be purchased in Gallia, there's no Heavy Lifter sellpoint in Gallia:(
Now I have to fly -all- the way to Shikoku! Not really a problem, but perhaps add a sellpoint to a Solar base?

I'm curious. What happens if I build a player base, dock and log off, and my base is destroyed with my ship inside? Do I lose my ship? Is my ship relocated? Does it break the profile?
I understand there are tutorials still on the way.
