It's a game, remember. If lawfuls can't take care of a pirate problem now and then, the actual wellbeing of Liberty doesn't actually suffer. And the LN are actually in the best position to defend themselves.
You make it out like "Oh no, we don't get enough support from the LN! *sweatdrop sweatdrop* The... the pirates will actually win!"
Tell me what's so god-awful about this? In peak hours, the LN is pretty frakking dominant. What's this apocalyptic problem I keep hearing of, of Libety lawfuls losing now and then? Right now the unlawfuls lose the vast majority of the time, and even when they win, another LNS fleet shows up a few minutes later and schools them.

because Jimmy and I used to log on at time when LN never conected and pirate seems virtually always there.
as such, our winning rate were medium... but Jimmy was on more often than I, and his lone gunboat couldn't do much. So, despite the fact it is a game, human nature doesnt like losing.

I witnessed much of the same, though often on my LPI, where a pirate fleet of all sorts of ships were attacking newyork and there were 5-6 LN in conneticut PVPing, and did not come out to help out the indies who were fighting and dying to try and protect newyork.

Anyways, I do think we need to stop thinking about losing so much. The problem that is trying to be fixed here is the lack of respect for the little guy (pirate). It's one thing to say "We need to show some tact, since the lack of sportsmanship is apparent." and "I'm getting killed too much, so I think we should let all those who go off and kill lone fighters (and such) keep doing what they're doing. That way I'll have a better time."
Catch my drift? I just don't think this...
