RE: [Official Event]: First Fight, Tau 44 - Chapter I (13th to 15th January, 20:00 UTC) - TheShooter36 - 01-14-2017 Where is the fun if you all log snubs and YOLO CR and C snubs all the time and win the event 100 : 10 at max? There should be cap fights as well no matter how unskilled or skilled guys you have. We dont have 1092839128301938 uberskilled cap guys too, at most we have 4 or 5 RE: [Official Event]: First Fight, Tau 44 - Chapter I (13th to 15th January, 20:00 UTC) - Wesker - 01-14-2017 Thunderer you missed a big reason why we don't have an indie playerbase. Everyone would rather play the role of the protagonist than the antagonist The "fuck GRN they're shitters" or "anti-gallia" circlejerk has gone on forever. No one want's to side with the bad guys, its for that reason we don't have an indie playerbase and no one want's to do anything other than PvP with us. Funnily enough, Omi wanted to do something for GRN that involved more RP, but because of the toxic anti gallia circlejerking squad GRN's past no one want's to RP with us. Omicega and the rest of the faction are pretty much worn out from years of dealing with the same crap and arguing the same stuff over and over again so no one's really in the mood to do anything ingame but me and shiki really, lol. Skill is irrelevant with caps in this mod, or its much LESS relevant than it was thanks to the cerberus nerf and mortar changes and buffs to the already superior light battleships in group combat balance changes by the dev team. The valor is trash in group fights and duels now, the only way it really works is if you mount 2 heavy mortars or engine kill up to enemies with cerbs. Even then, you're still at a disadvantage. You cannot argue 2 skilled valor pilots can take on a swarm of motivated zeyphrs and redemptions. It's not going to change unless cerb nerf is reverted we get an indie playerbase. I don't even like Gallia and I flew a snub on their side. RE: [Official Event]: First Fight, Tau 44 - Chapter I (13th to 15th January, 20:00 UTC) - Epo - 01-14-2017 @Thunderer is right tho. Some stimulation with medals lets say could improve indy activity. On a sidenote, i'll try to be there in 1h 40 mins, so 19 UTC with some trashmeat. And my experience wasn't overly negative. The only thing wrong with flying a GRN indie is that you're up against six or so caps while trying to duke it out with snubs that continuously run to the caps for support. There's genuinely nothing fun about that, and I'm probably not going to log for the event if it's going to keep happening, because I honestly can't be bothered to spend money on a valor/obstinate or whatever to have six caps cruise up to me and go guns blazing. There is genuinely nothing appealing, motivating or entertaining about it. #DeltaWasBetter RE: [Official Event]: First Fight, Tau 44 - Chapter I (13th to 15th January, 20:00 UTC) - Wesker - 01-14-2017 This whole event would've been executed amazingly if it was done almost a year ago when it first came up, we had a large playerbase then from the Royal Flush and california events and CR was active back then too. Also the Valor was a useable battleship in group fights. But since we shoved it off a year, and no one is motivated to do anything and the capitalship playerbases all around have worn down from these stupid changes to battleships. No one is can be bothered unless you put the event in Leeds or something. Bad timing, bad system, combined with horrible balance changes makes for no fun event's unless you're on the side with 30 medium battleships spamming mortars always ready to kill the evil GRN people. |
