RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - Independent Worlds - Sombs - 05-28-2017 Cruise-EK is a legit combat strategy used by all battleship players. I do think the problem is not the event, but the typical PvP drama. Just log a Freelancer next time and try to enjoy the PvE and cooperation part of the event - many people did that, over and over again. RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - Independent Worlds - Enkidu - 05-28-2017 It's super Oorp and stupid. I don't want to fight the Cult of Memeology (what the hell even are they? there's no established lore), RP is considered a fart in the wind, and the gameplay is 100% exploits and griefing. Edit: You either make an RM or LNS indie cap, or go screw yourself. God forbid actually trying to do it as some kind of organised faction expedition. No it's a well known bug that 99% of known players will use. If they didn't want ships to have a power drain when entering cruise they would have let it stay how it was originally years ago where you could cruise and power core would stay at 100% RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - Independent Worlds - Enkidu - 05-28-2017 You know what's sad? There's no real discovery in it. It's not an uncharted system, It's NPC Connecticut without any fairness rules. Edit: Scientific data was meant to give researcher IDs and researcher RPers a purpose, not to be some memery indulgence. RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - Independent Worlds - Goliath - 05-28-2017 In general: Experience bad because of GREEDY players and trollers, as well as too many cultists(seriously now, got ambushed by 4 carriers in same sector wtf) RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - Independent Worlds - Emperor Tekagi - 05-28-2017 I suppose let's roll into the drama for once and state what I stated often enough: > It was the same with most of this events even with the mini-events Events for people to log and collect Scientific Data But not to RP -> Discovery RP 24/7 -> Events focus on avoiding RP, don't pose any RP impact at all but rather encourage PvP idiocy Well done. EDIT: But this is a player-made problem. The overall idea they have is nice (fight an unknown new enemy is cringy but oh well, the Sci Data system is tricky to judge as it just encourages the problems stated above so yeah: ) how things work out is not. RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - Independent Worlds - Enkidu - 05-28-2017 I refuse to encourage my faction to participate in any future events that are going to turn into griefing-fests. Sorry. No hablo sufrimiento. Edit: I was about to make a cruise disrupt sat post, but I won't encourage this stuff. If I see more of it I'm actively going to destroy scientific data units. RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - Independent Worlds - Goliath - 05-28-2017 Event was a fail, thats all. Good for some newbies, bad for rest. Next time please do a proper event in Rheinland, 4 carriers and some cultist snubs couldnt get bad though. Yes, it is. They are plot enemies, simply because nomad players aren't happy with being that. Now we have Cultists that definitely need a better balancing. The system came with the premise of "What happens here, stays here", which was intended to spice things up, but it really is sad, because the encounters in there had some nice RP potential. I made agreements with both @Byron and @Skorak about stuff that happened inRP there, though, so I can't complain about it, really. However, I think those things shouldn't be mindlessly ooRP, just for the sake of the eventing. |
