Fighter Explosives (missiles + torps and mines) Poll - Orin - 01-26-2009

Come on guys, can we get back to the matter at hand? This is ridiculous.

Are you basing final changes off of a poll? That's an awful idea.

' Wrote:You say we had 14 to 12 votes on the dev forum why didnt we go with that. Ill tell you why because this idea was thought of by, you so it stands to reason you are going to vote for it, its about the community as a whole. Not just what you think.

Indeed, on the dev forum we got 14 votes FOR cargo requirements and 12 against, so I thought it doesn't decide anything and asked Igiss if I should make a poll here to which he agreed.

Quote: Frankly mate you can do what you like and say what you like. As a matter of fact you can do away with missile for all i care, because it realy is things like this that i think can ruin the experiance of Discovery for alot of people.

Yes, during last month there were around 3 threads made about how missiles are too good and how people spam those, something that Blodo warned about in October. So I made a poll yes and I guilty of that.

Right now the option to not limiting anything has most votes.... or actually not since together there are more votes on the yes side...so what should we do?

Most votes:
no - not since there are 97 people that voted yes in one or another way
so yes then which one of then?
slot restrictions - leads now by two votes (out of 133) when there are 15 people who voted "combination of the above". So can I just say we do slot restrictions? I wouldn't say so... you would probably.... so I guess I'll ask Igiss or?

Apparently whatever I do is wrong in your eyes... just because I do it.

I did contact Igiss to decide how we should go on with this poll.

Fighter Explosives (missiles + torps and mines) Poll - Lohingren - 01-26-2009

oh so, your logic tells us mjolnir .... if there were 3 people running for president 1 got 1 million votes, the other got 1 million and 1 votes and the other 1 million 500 votes.... that the one with 1 million 500 votes should be like oh hell no... why? cause the other 2 peoples votes accumulated upto more thats why.

yet again martin you make excuses just to save face, someone bring something up you will moan moan moan moan moan until you get your way... your a little child who cries everytime he is beaten, and you are ruining a perfectly good mod just because you are a idiot. The way i see it Martin.. your talking a pile of **** frankly, if Yes to slots, other or refire you would have just said 2nd vote, if cargo requirements had won, we would not have seen a 2nd vote. You and your "buddy" jure did not plan to change these even jure said it himself while there was a 3 way draw with no, slots and requirements "We will most likely just keep the requirements on"

yeah so tell me what the **** is the point in this poll eh? you and your squad of lackies are a buncha idiots plain and simple, your just doing what you want with this mod, and your frankly ruining it

Ok, as Mal would say:

Five tons of flax, people.

Look... whatever's done with them rockets - as a small issue as it is can be tuned during the public beta time - when there'll be a lot of PvP around and everyone trying the new stuff. Plus - should the autoupdater commence operation - such a thing as damage, refire etc is a matter of text. Text = small volume = instant download no matter what 'net connection = a lot of space for experiments.

To which I replied that we should reduce the poll to the 3 question as it's not decided, reason why he said that is that nobody has ~ 300 hours of free time to implement this right now.

If we keep your logic of "most votes no matter what", then now it stays on no restrictions at all. Which is all fine by me, but then maybe some people shouldn't moan about getting "LF whored" ?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why can't you simply wait for Igiss to decide?

Fighter Explosives (missiles + torps and mines) Poll - Lohingren - 01-26-2009

ok, ok so i will take your "more accumulated "YES" votes" excuse for now.

And i will ask you, ok so the more logical thing to do would go for the highest yes non?

You will reply "to much work" so again why did you suggest it?

Your forgetting this is MOD DEVELOPMENT, think of it as actually making a game. You gotta sell as many copies as possible. Your digital Anvils shoes for instance, they where going down under and in a last bid effort they released FL early (incomplete) and what do you know? it was their downfall.

Time is not a issue here Martin, i am sure every hardcore disco fan here would not mind waiting a extra week, if the final outcome is better.

300+ more hours of work is not a issue, What counts is quality.

You cannot be lazy when it comes to developement
