All of them were against huge groups of gunboats... so yeah... I just ruined my rep by having to run away every time. 0 credits earned. No fun at all. Those missions are all screwed. Stations have a difficulty level of the missions they hand out. If you want to shoot with VHF I would sugges to use low reward missions. For example. 1,000 Fighter Kills = 1,000,000 Credits Bonus 2,500 Fighter Kills = 3,000,000 Credits Bonus 100 Gunboat Kills = 1,000,000 Credits Bonus 1,000 Gunboat Kills = 5,000,000 Credits Bonus 100 Battleship Kills = 10,000,000 Credits Bonus This is just an example and would probably need balancing ofcourse. All of the ships just jump around all over the screen and it's impossible to hit them. Ehhh... I'm looking to rework gunboat NPCs to have more unified loadouts, since they're all over the place, as well as a general overhaul of fighter NPC loadouts and difficulties. I'm also thinking of ways to more accurately delineate different classifications of missions, though due to the arcane mess that is Freelancer's mission system, this may be extremely difficult to implement. It's been good to hear feedback about the new PvE systems we're building. I'm looking forward to being able to continue this line of development for Discovery and to seeing what people think of what we come up with. They're already paying out more per killed cap than they were before. I, for one, will take shiny unique toys I need to physically loot from PVE over pure credits, if only to get some rewards for player-hosted events and such.
