RE: 2020 Mining Overhaul, Phase 1: Price and Sellpoint Adjustments - Avalanche - 05-16-2020 You guys are wasting your energy. If you want to be taken seriously then make a counter proposal to this Mining Overhaul and outline the pros and cons of your changes. Make a new thread and have a healthy debate which means taking the other sides perspective into account. Otherwise, no one is really going to take your complaints seriously. And this is why there needs to be a code of conduct for official faction leaders that explains what they can and cant, and what they should and shouldnt. There are so many people here (not just the person quoted) that have absolutely no idea how to handle their "authority" responsibly. I'd like to point out that LPI shipping ore and Bretonia-Liberty being an ore highway are two separate topics that have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Under the past and present system nothing stops LPI from trading other ores to Liberty or even between other places. Kahl could also come up with a much better excuse for doing so than "I am private and official I do what I want reshpect mah authoritaw", like LPI doing high security transports where Bretonia compensates the Liberty government for their help in the war. There are lots of factions that have very good irp and gameplay reasons to want to ship things to liberty specifically, and that need ore for their manufacturing or for trade, that are nothing like LPI. It's also highly unfair and dishonest to throw all other people who have objections and suggested improvements in with Lord Rhemalak and accuse them of having lowly motives. RE: 2020 Mining Overhaul, Phase 1: Price and Sellpoint Adjustments - Lemon - 05-16-2020 Can you please fix the Gallic jump gates for docking? Really annoying you can't just F 3 and jump on big ships (setting aside e.g. on ranseour taking ages to get through) Tried one millitary salvage run seems a lot worse than before bering Salvage=London=>Gold=>bering not sure what the bristol depot guys will do now RE: 2020 Mining Overhaul, Phase 1: Price and Sellpoint Adjustments - Skorak - 05-16-2020 The bug has already been reported and fixed. So it will be fine next patch. Has nothing to do with the topic. Please check the bug reports forum for issues you encounter and report them if they aren't reported yet. RE: 2020 Mining Overhaul, Phase 1: Price and Sellpoint Adjustments - LuckyOne - 05-17-2020 Interesting idea... Even more interesting implementation! While I'm really sad for people whose RP has been hit hard by this change, and also sad because some changes are a bit ruining the immersion (not that there was a lot of immersion regarding ore trading anyway), I'm really glad things are actually moving, and that factions will now have to focus on different activities instead of only shipping ores as primary means of money making. I don't quite feel there needs to be complete standardization of ore profits because it feels a bit "too artificial", but I understand that gameplay balance trumps immersion in this case. (I feel some things should simply be a bit more profitable though, to create tension and conflict for the control of these valuable mining zones / trading routes but these can go in the "exceptional" category with Xeno Relics and Azurite. I'd even suggest making more of these "special" commodites / contraband and tying it into the new mission / PvE system but I'm still thinking hard on the best way to achieve that) On the other hand I feel the lack of ore trade between Bretonia and Liberty a bit disturbing. In vanilla it was heavily implied of there being significant trade links between Bretonia's industrial centers and Liberty manufacturing centers. Now Bretonia is quite devastated yes, but it doesn't mean there should be no major profits to be had in the trade between the two Houses. Especially with Bretonia rebuilding their infrastructure... |
