RE: Deterrence [DTR] - Feedback - Steven.Hiller - 11-06-2024 Regardless of Faction or IFF, you get "D@#$" that logg any faction just to grief other players. I made a list of their ships and to be honest i just logg off when they logg have no interest in playing with them. Normally they are aces and they always cry and moan and pull little girly moves throwing tantrums when they get slapped. But they laugh and rave when they dogpile the crap out of noobs. DTR lose so many fleet battles cause they take in so much noobs teaching them the game 10 noobs dont even equal 2 aces cuase i seen one guy wack more numbers then that So yeah even if im not in DTR and dont always agree with everything what they do and how they do it. They have nice people to and some "D@#$" to like any other faction on the server but in general they put in a lot of effort take in a lot of noobs and spend time training them showing them the ropes in game organizing lot of social media in game and activity They lose a lot i know i was in DTR and left personal reasons but when i fight with them we lose when i fight against them we win i dont believe i ever was in a battle with DTR on DTR side where we won and i was in many. So the few times they win just let it be and stop crying about it, they might have numbers but most of them die at least 5 to 10 minutes into the fight if even that long Mostly you lucky and get the noob squad and other days the aces are mixed in and then it gets interesting. How many times as an Ace have u thrown a fight to make the other guy feel good after he lost every fight like 99 times. We all know if humans start losing all the time the next thing that happens is i suck at this this is not fun anymore and poof 1 less loggin. This server need less Toxic Waste, More caring and respect for your fellow community members And in the end its a game try to enjoy it and most import try to make it enjoyable for others Cause if they dont feel its worth sharing their time with u anymore guess what, You gonna play a lot of FL Single Player Keep up the Good Work DTR And file on them bad points its a learning growing process RE: Deterrence [DTR] - Feedback - Madvillain - 11-06-2024 Aces used to be much more inclined to join weaker factions, to face other aces and balance the game. I don't think it happens often now, leading to players trying to win by numbers. In my view its a natural outcome of imbalance of skill. Only the aces can break the cycle that ends up in situations not enjoyable for anyone, with great power comes great responsibility. Unless aces show some willingness to break up their cliques for the health of the game, ganking will remain the status quo. I think it would be more enjoyable for everyone when aces take their responsibility, but at the same time its a game and people should do whatever they want (within the rules) Back in the days anyone could hire the Reavers to balance a fight. RE: Deterrence [DTR] - Feedback - Semir Gerkhan - 11-06-2024 To add my two cents. As a returning veteran, I didn't know about DTR until I came back to Disco a year ago. I have to admit that I had my doubts about them at first, and I didn't like many of the things they did, or rather how they did them. Today there can be, and will be, many things on which we will continue to disagree. However, what is undeniable is that DTR is currently a group of people who benefit the server with their activity, and have become a driving force of this community. They tend to take Disco as what it should be, a damn game that is expected to be fun, and accept everyone regardless of their PvP skills, even if it means getting their asses kicked in a lot of fights. That has happened even when they have numerical superiority, which could be considered humiliating if your self-esteem is fragile, but I don't remember a recent moment when they made a drama out of it. My feeling about them is that are just a group of people trying to have a good time, and also try to constantly improve at what they do, both in training their newbies in PvP and in polish their RP. I think a little more of that is what we need here. I'm not going to go into what happened yesterday in the Delta fight because I wasn't there. I don't know who is right and everyone can make mistakes, but the feeling I have right now about DTR is that they contribute positively to the server much more than their potential mistakes can do harm. So, good job guys. RE: Deterrence [DTR] - Feedback - ElGatito - 11-06-2024 To my dear Nepo: Your favorite cat still loves you. It is the cheese which binds us together, and that bond is not broken easily. I do not feel bad about destroying the ever loving heck out of that filthy Wild bustard you were flying, and I would do it again, even if the odds were against me. Gatito is concerned about the alien infestation which is clouding your judgement, yet in my heart I believe there is still good in you. Gatito believes you can be saved. I will promptly commence the research into breaking the Nomad spell cast over your mind. No expense will be spared. Keep fighting! Do not give in! Your hermanos from Crete are resourceful beyond imagination. We will find the cure! As to your hunting myself and my amigos down with the severe blood lust, I welcome it! Who knows? Perhaps after being smacked several dozen more times, I will become a stronger warrior!

Not that I was in the fight, I just think Sirius is too small for both of us. As for this thread: all I can say is that nobody's going to get any better from the attitude(s) on display here. Challenging the community to show their worst against DTR is not something I would recommend, because no matter how large DTR is compared to the overall server population, I don't think that's going to be a fight you can win. But you've kind of already crossed that bridge, from the looks of it. There's no wiggle room for a rule-based approach, either, or people will start getting sanctioned and banned left and right. Mostly groups of new players or indies. I don't even know how banning people for playing the game within their right as given by the rules would be justified. I think instead of further escalating things, we should do some introspection, and try to all do better in the future. Everyone makes mistakes, but let's not start making them intentionally. |
