Just a group of Ghost haunting the mainly the omicrons, maybe they can start to haunt bretonia as in dublin, etc... but turning into a faction doesn't seem like a good idea. Ghost.Ship Roleplay Feature - Shryke - 08-07-2009 My only problem with this idea is that ghosts are supposedly ethereal, and cannot interact with the mortal world. A whole crew of ghosts manning a battleship going around looking for souls? Sounds really cheesy. Unless its a crew of a ship pretending to be ghosts through scrambling voice comms and things like that. That would be more believable. But if youre RPing actual ghosts, it doesn't fit in. This is science fiction, ghosts are sort of the opposite to that. Yes I know ghosts have been done before in Disco, but I avoid them because I'm sorry but I don't want to RP with a ghost in sci fi. Errant.Ventures ghost, did kill, however...it was more of a game, in which only those that participated became vulnerable. Kind of like voodoo. Now....In regards to a ghost ship...Initally I wanted to do that, when I had my scylla, however, it became hard....to do with RP characters staying off your ship. If they RP a boarding onto your adrift, seemingly harmless, valuable ghost ship, then you could RP the Demise of these characters, on your ship, however you want. The ROS were pushing it, but at least they only fly smaller craft (from what I've seen). To me, this entire ghost.ship thing screams "we want to fly battleships and shoot whoever we meet", and that kind of attitude does not belong here. Now, I had suggested a faction idea way back during 4.84 called the Geists, who 'acted' like ghosts but were not. They used the psychological warfare aspect of behaving like ghosts leftover from the rheinland-GMG war to scare the crap out of their victims, but when you got to the core of it, they were just pirates using old salvaged ships and acting on opportunity. I disagree...If some one wants to RP a ghost ship cool...or, better yet some one should RP the Ghosts of the Hispania, or other wrecks...that way you could theoretically RP a wreck thats already there. However you do it, its your RP, so in all honesty it doesnt matter what anyone says, its ur Baby. If you want help testing the RP I can help if I'm on. Also, Errant stuck to the Badlands....more for spooky effect then anything, and the fact that searching for a ship visually there is dam near impossible....like the bermuda triangle.
