The reason why, regardles of how 'raring' to go you are, there is little or no background or forethought into this. It seems y'all are just going to force your way in with a blunt meatcleaver. If you need some intellectual input from other 'ANZACs', I've twenty or so people here right now, although only half that are especially active.
By the by, my grandfather was an ANZAC. Fought in WWII. True story. I know from my experiences with some of the nutters my mother has made me spend time around in honour of them that even the name 'ANZAC' would be found as disrespectful as opposed to prideful by many.

Either way, I'm going to sleep. The lack of relevance has put me in a rather poor state of mind, especially considering I have exams tomorrow. Coffee will help there, though.
As a side note, if you want to get some kind of IM program (I've heard you dislike Skype), myself and the others will be more than willing to show you around. Hell, I've already volunteered to help our one aspiring player faction today, why not go for two? If y'all are serious, you're going to need a lot of help, and willingness to accept criticism and advice and to cooperate.

It amazes me by how far people are willing to go to show why a faction *should not* work.
I think it's great that there is a new faction trying to get set up.
I'd imagine that every faction (player faction that is) had similar troubles working out exactly where they fitted into the Feelancer universe.

mm you are right there it is the word of igiss im not going to argue with him. but that only says their sleeper ship is gone is destroyed before the launch of the other ships wouldnt the next logical thing be for the aussies to bunk with the british on their vessel

sadly it is true everyone seems to be bunking in on why an how this isnt going to work being so pessimistic and anti change. I was amazed how much so many ideas in the mod section seem to be also shot to pieces.
I dont know how change or new things all come if everyone is so heavy set at no to everything new.

I very much dount there was room. The places on those Sleeper Ships would have been very exclusive and would have been filled up months in advance. They couldn't just 'squeeze in' a few Aussies. It's not like a bus, each person was stored individually in a cryo stasis pod built into the ship. You can't just cram a few more on the end.

ok this is an example of what this could be take a look an tell me what you think.
The australians having their sleeper ship destroyer were invited to join the british sleeper ship. Once reaching sirius the australians didnt just entirely join the rest of the bretonian citizens they helped setup cities but they also built two cities of their very own were the people of australia could be in strong communities as citizens of bretonia. This honour was given to them by the bretonian government acknowledging them as their passage an history with the British.
In more recent times when the Kusari war broke out the people of the two cities (say Perth and X) gathered together they could see the armed forces of their bretonian empire getting pushed back to Leeds an once it did the peaceful cities were in uproar the Men an women of the Australian cities took up arms with permission of the monarch and formed the Anzac division they came in as the Auxillary of the Bretonian armed forces and came to assist in the war against the Kusari.

so i looked into joining this faction and tried to make some suggestions to help before pulling out.
No, you probably cant be aussi's, unless you've restricted yourself to screwing each other for 800 years (inbreading much? there cant've been many aussie's aboard the bretonia)
so you mind as well give up and say you're bretonians. forget sleeper ships and any related argument, there would be no pure or even half australian people in sirius after 800 years.
now, that does not mean im against some dudes all from the same timezone flying together in a faction, i think it's a good idea, from what i've see of you there's usually 3 or so of you together which you don't see in a lot of factions.
however, face it, you guys are BAF clones trying to work out a different backstory. like i've already suggested to you guys, i'd like to see you as a unique faction, something that isnt already in sirius, it's why i decided to play a pirate bretonian faction instead of ANZAC, as im sure in game you're decent people to RP with.
whatever RP you work out, what's going to be more important is what you do in game, what role you perform that isnt already taken, and sitting in leeds scanning cargo and shooting lost outcasts and the occasional corsair has been BAF's job for a while now.

The thing is, this faction right at the beginning, was exclusive to aussies only. Which means I (an Indian), cannot join. I know you didn't mean this in a racist way, but that was basically the main reason I'm against this faction.
Not all new factions get shot down, if they do, theres a damn good reason for it, such as some loopholes, or the players general RP. The same thing happened to Legacy a while back, they may have had history and what not, but their players/faction members were utterly horrible and couldn't and even didn't want to RP. That's why factions get shot down. Other factions usually get shot down because the thought in RP is too minimal and they don't take their own faction too seriously thinking they'll get it right the first time. Its not true, I'm trying to set up my own faction, I've already spent at least 9 hours on it. These are just some reasons.

I'm glad you got rid of the idea of having an entire house/country/nation to yourself. I look forward to seeing your faction proposal.
