Offtopic. That's not what i meant Teschy. It's another discussion, but one I saw earlier today. LN BS are allowed to (as far as I understand) restrict Z21, from traders. If that is rule lawyered then I will need to ask the Admins to clarify that. Again.

Kinda split between Option 1 and Optiion 5
Option 1 is good and all... But I've seen more LABCs than I have Dreadnoughts and Carriers. (That said, this would only solve 50% of the capspammage by possible lolwuts) It also prevents the indies who actually RP their ships instead of going:
"lol, my shipz biggur than urs, pew pew."
Option 2, while it creates an opening for those who can have such a ship without it going to their head, doesnt solve BC Spammage which iv seen moreso than BS Spammage.
My Option 5 (Other): Option 2 Extended to allow the restriction of Battleships -and- Battlecruisers.

If I could say it without going overboard, I'd say allow factions to restrict use of all capital ships, making those incapable of RP / Fairplay while using a cap, have to use a fighter classed ship.
But.... I cant so I leave it at that.

The way I see it, the positives of restricting capital ships to factions, or faction control are far outweighed by the negatives of doing so. Stop blaming them for all your problems, cause the real culprit is not the ship, it's the player behind it.

I voted option two. (Faction + well known and trusted characters)
We have way too many independents out there, who aren't capable of proper BS RP.

If I was given that power, I would have no problem with taking on that duty. (I would also have no qualms about kicking idiots out of any ships they were abusing, not just a capital ship.)
Edit: Just make sure my power extends to factionalised ships as well.

Send the reports to the admins and let them sort it out.
That's what they are there for.
The only way this is ever going to go away is through education and coaching. Not rules.
Some of the education will have to come from being sanctioned. Others will change because they were mentored.
All of that takes time (and ingame player relationships/trust). And this is still not as big an issue as the forum-ites make out to be.
