But I do operate with this ship in the independent worlds between Bretonia and Liberty. I can hunt down pirates smugglers or Help BAF patrols when they are in those systems. although the Office didn't expect such a drastic change in your reputation - Bretonian space does that indeed -, the problem still remain the same : according to the most recent research on that matter, today our engineers are still unable to interface Bretonian technology with Kusarian one (report #42156, 6.2).

Now since this subject is of high interest let's expand it further. According to the experts, such hybrid technology could be realized by only few men in the galaxy : the Lane Hackers for their baffling competences in cracking military codes, the Outcasts are supposed to be excellent ship crafters and possibly have a previous experience with Bretonian technology, or perhaps the Junkers for being lucky tweakers and salvagers. Of course the Crown would never release the blueprint to known criminal, or shady to say the least, organization. And even assuming we do the price they would demand for such, hmm, Special Reseach Protocol, and in many cases the results are most likely to be non reproducible.

Now the parenthesis ends. Dear Director Drake,

It is troubling that you would place such weapons within reach of the Corsair Pirate groups, groups who have, historically and repeatedly, brought savage ruin to peaceful operations in Dublin.

Also, given our own... troubled history with the Zoners, and the situation of Port Jackson (Gran Canaria) there is a risk that these weapons will be turned back upon the loyalist forces of the crown.

It is, therefore, my recommendation that this acquisition be denied, until such time as adequate proof can be provided of the security of the weapons, and sufficient guarantees, in the form of joint co-operation with both Bretonian forces and Rheinland forces against the pirates that plague these sectors.
