Can I make a quick suggestion on the hard point placement? Putting a weapon hard point on something as flimsy as those beams at the front of the ship would be an engineering nightmare, they're called hard points for a reason ya know? I suggest moving them back a bit so they're on the main body of the ship otherwise they'll be impractical(From an engineering standpoint, of course.).

Thats as sexy as it gets. And putting the hardpoints up front isn't really any different than putting on flimsy wingtips. They are pretty much both just as easy to blow off.
