RoS feedback - Equinox - 04-06-2008 ' Wrote:And a reply to that could be is The sabre is a vanilla ship all of those are bugged as soon as you add Nuke mines into the equation. Or explosives of any kind. And we do come up against factions that fly full non vanilla ships. There has to be a ballance. Thats just being daft to be honest. .. Do you see any TBH members flying anything but Titans as a very heavy fighter? or the Centurian as our heavy fighter or our own bomber? because RoS do fly other VHFs and bombers as your ship list states, you cant have it both ways can you?. Once our LF is fixed we will fly it its that simple, the Brotherhood prides itself on flying only Corsair vessels. Or explosives of any kind. And we do come up against factions that fly full non vanilla ships. There has to be a ballance. One nuke can insta-kill any fighter endorsed by the TBH. They can attest to my skill at doing just that to them... they still stick to those ships though, and good on them for it. (Yes, I've nearly 30 Corsair kills in my fighter to zero deaths in it in the past couple of months using only nukes.) In fact, ships like the Saber have strengths beyond the likes of the RT for just that reason, to counter its weakness to explosions. Anyway, at any rate, the Blood Dragon has a vanilla hitbox too, so this doesn't make a difference. RoS feedback - [RoS]silent_assasin82 - 04-06-2008 Like i said the TBH are not our only enemys. As a matter of fact in our early days you were the least of our problems. And the Titan can stand torp hit dont say it cant and also mines and still be able to retaliate. The sabre cannot. Infact i have seen sabres shot down by CD missles. RoS feedback - bluntpencil2001 - 04-06-2008 ' Wrote:Like i said the TBH are not our only enemys. Infact i have seen sabres shot down by CD missles. The titan can't. I've nearly thirty titan nuke kills in the past couple of months. I know my nukes. Dying to CDs rarely happens. It was probably detonating other missiles or mines. In spite of my nuclear devastation that I've unleashed on the Corsairs, they still fly their Titans. If they can fly Titans (which aren't brilliant), why shouldn't all of RoS use the Saber, which many of us consider to be the best in Disco? RoS feedback - Eppy - 04-06-2008 I'm afraid I have to concur with the others. Unless each ship has a developed character with a ship-specific reason to be flying it, I don't think Hessian or Blood Dragon ships are really permissible. The Red Catamaran, because the Falcatta is such a piece of crap, maybe, but 101st's only Red Catamaran is being scrapped, so I'm dubious even there... The Saber is an excellent ship. I love mine very much, and indeed it's the only ship that isn't a Light Fighter or a Battleship that I've shot down competent pilots in, and the ship that I have the most decent performance (excepting the Battleships, as usual). And if I can use it it has to be fairly decent... EDIT: Oh, and I've seen all kinds of ships shot down with CDes. It's a pretty common thing, in fact. Also, a Titan can survive a torp hit, but very rarely, and it's usually missing an important thing called wings, which leaves it with, what, two guns? I think the Corsair bomber is worse! maybe we could fly the civ bomber.:P Also Silent comparing the 2 ships the Titan and the Saber the Saber wins hands down everytime, it turns faster and its strafe ability is insane which gives it a BIG advantage so there really should be no reason to fly anything else, the Titan really sucks to be honest but I still fly one and I will keep flying one because its Corsair made. But this is getting of track abit so I will bow out now!. xD RoS feedback - McNeo - 04-06-2008 From the reasoning provided that you need a tactical advantage in battle against other enemies by using ships such as the Catamaran and BD, I take it that you would endorse the TBH putting the Hogosha VHF in their shiplist? I dont think so somehow. Chopper made some very good points and you brushed them off without so much as a hint of reasoning. "We dont often attack RM" isn't a good excuse to go and attack them once in a while just because you feel like it. Blood Dragon weapons also don't suck bigtime, they just suck bigtime next to the Kracken, as most guns on the market do. Daito's are very similar to Skyblast B's, and as such are very good guns indeed, if coupled with a suitable torpedo slot weapon. It also would be possible for different races to swap technology. But honour and pride prevents that. It runs deep within Japanese society, which is mostly present in the Blood Dragons and Kusari State Police. It also runs deep in Hispanic culture. Well, the was the impression I was under anyway. Also, the Falcata isn't a piece of poo, though it deserves a little tune to make it turn a slight bit faster. The Praetorian is a decent bomber aswell, no changes are needed to it right now. RoS feedback - chopper - 04-06-2008 Titan can survive a torp, yes. But not always. It can survive only if the Torp hits one if it's wings. And even then it looses 90% of the hull and 2 weapons. Sabre wouldn't even get hit, because it doesn't have those wings. So your point is absurd actually. Silent, I'm not here to bash you guys. This thread is asking the community for help to improve RoS faction. If I give you a reason, you can't just say "Oh but he does it and he does it too!!!". Flying a Blood Dragon doesn't contribute you or your RP in any way. It just smells like using it for better fight performance. Which is low. How come you'r not using some stats-weak ship for your RP reasons? For example - Werewolf or Greyhound. Or maybe Barghest/Waran? I'm not saying it's okay to fly these, I'm just saying how it looks to the community. It doesn't have to be PVP whoring for it to look like PVP whoring, if you catch my drift. I'm not accusing you for pvp whoring either, since I see you tend to twist my words. Sabre is the best VHF, together with BD HF and Wrath VHF. No reason to use any other VHF, especially not the one that is kept hidden. All of my reasons are given to you for you to improve. I won't make you do it, it's your choice after all. There's also no point in arguing about it, since you have to realize it's bad first. If you don't, then we'r just wasting our words. It's upon you to choose between respected/biggest OC faction and rag-tag pwnzorzing fleet. There you go. Best wishes. RoS feedback - Unseelie - 04-06-2008 Arguing that your ships aren't good enough does not cut it. Not an excuse at all. For instance, My faction gets pwned 7/5 because the enemy's ships are better, and we could make a deal with the NPG to put the QCP, at least, in BD fighters and bombers. We could even just fly eagles. We don't even have an HF that works, but we don't sub in another HF. You chose the Outcasts, and I personally believe you chose them because they had great stuff. Well, time to live up to what you chose, and stick to your guns. Stop defending ship choices designed to make your PVP stronger, and try looking at the RP for a bit. BTW, alliances sharing tech does not exactly cut it as RP either. As far as I can tell, the BD dislike the outcasts, and the outcasts have the best everything already, and are also involved in the Borderworlds design group, something already set up to share tech. So, the Sabre is designed using the shared technology and expertise of the Hessians, Zoners, Outcasts, and Lane hackers, and you've no need for someone else's stuff. Moreover, any character cannot use any ship they've got rp for. Any one of us could create any sort of ridiculous RP story, to create an uber ship. I don't see any of you flying ships that are worse, because of your RP, so please use some restraint. Additionally, factions are expected to restrict their characters to a sort of uniform, with possible exemptions based on exceptional RP, if at all. You simply shouldn't be allowing other ship types, that you probably cannot repair as well...or do you mass produce parts for the lokis and the odins and the Blood dragons? Eppy uses worse guns on his 66th fighter than he could, thanks to his RP... and I'm pretty sure the Bretonian Battleship isn't as good as the Outcast options either. Just saying, is all...:) |
